The Marmot Women's Geneva Jacket is a down parka for the cold winter in the city. The durable exterior is made from a blend of nylon, polyester and cotton plain weave with Marmot MemBrain® hidden inside to provide you with waterproof/breathable protection. Shield your body from the snow, rain, sleet and wind while the 700 fill power down on the inside insulates against the frigid winter. Long in length, it covers past the hip in a regular fit that slips over your chunky cable-knit sweater with ease. Zip the front and snap the storm flap shut over top for increased wind and snow protection. You get to choose your style and warmth level when it comes to your head, as the hood is removable as is the fur ruff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket, very warm and cute. Extremely warm for the price point. It's as warm as Canada Goose jackets in the 3 or 4 insulation range. The jacket runs true to size or slightly large. I would normally purchase a M in winter jackets, but debating ordering the Geneva in a S. The Steel Onyx color is VERY different in person. It is almost a grey powder blue. It is a bit lighter than the Canada Goose "Graphite" color. Nice fleece lined hand warmer pockets right at the perfect height. 2 slip in snap pockets. Snap adjustable cuffs with (loose) wrist cuffs Inner zip pocket, more pockets would be nice. Fleecy chinguard Cinchable waist 2 way adjustable hood is removable, fur is removable. Hood is quite small with fur removed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gorgeous fit but many cut corners I live in Chicago and we've had some terrible winters in the last couple of years, so I've been looking the last couple of winters to for a coat that was warm and waterproof. This is what I was hoping was going to fit the bill, but alas, I'm just going to hope El Nino provides us with a mild winter as predicted, because this jacket is not going to get me through a polar vortex or a really cold Chicago winter on its own. I wore this last night and it was 37 and windy and I could feel the cold in my sleeves. SO much for windproof. I'm really disappointed because this coat fits like it was tailor made for me. I'm 5'6", 155 lbs, and my measurements are 36-30-38. I got the medium. It's lined in soft fleece around the torso and neck, and the hood is pretty well insulated. I look and feel like a streamlined winter goddess in this thing. On to what I don't like. The first thing that annoyed me was that a $500 coat comes with a plastic zipper. Hard to zip, but I figured it out. The big square pockets are great for storage, but the hand warmer pockets are TOO SMALL for my hands and in front of the big pockets, so all that's insulating the hand warmer pockets is felt and the outer shell of the jacket. I put my hands inside the big pockets to keep my hands warm, which are insulated with the felt of the front hand warmer pockets. My BIGGEST complaint however, is that you cannot tighten this hood. There are two cheap stretchy pull strings on either side of the hood that aren't accessible with gloved hands, so if you're out and about in the cold and decide you want to tighten your hood, you're going to have to stop, take off your gloves and fumble with these strings. And when you do, you're going to find out they don't tighten the hood at all. All in all, I'll live. I've resolved myself to the fact that things aren't made the way they used to be. I've bought extra hats and gloves to accommodate the fact that my winter coat has no functional hand warmer pockets or hood, and with a good base layer and a fleece underneath, I might survive if it gets down to zero. All for darn near a week's salary. I call this coat my trophy wife, all beauty, no brains, and pretty much functionally useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nicely apportioned -both warm and stylish Bought this coat for study abroad in Berlin. The XS is not too form fitting, but rather provides room for layering. Length, warmth, and hood are just about right, although the stylish fur hides your face a bit much ... which may come in handy for wind, but for routine use is too much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this Jacket for my girlfriend a college student. The jacket is stylish at the same time very functional for her to wear for the entire fall/winter. Awesome jacket.
