The Marmot Tungsten 3P Tent is a three person tent for spending time in the outdoors. Hit the trail with one or two hiking partners and the Tungsten can house all three. The tent is constructed with durable polyester taffeta and 100% polyester no-see-um mesh, the transition from taffeta to mesh is visible when the tent has been pitched, a diagonal that allows both privacy and breathability. The freestanding tent is easily pitched, with only three poles to worry about (two main and one brow). Each main pole features pre-bends at either end, creating more vertical interior space. When the winds howl and rain starts falling, throw the rainfly over top for protection and you're also treated with two vestibules, one over each door. What more could you want? Probably a footprint, and yep, that's included.

Rain PROOF!I love this tent. Spent too many nights miserable in a soaking wet tent. After many reviews, I bought this tent and used it on top of a waterfall on beautiful lake Jocassee in South Carolina.
Thunderstorm popped up out of no where, rained 3 inches in 30 minutes. No leaks!!! Other folks in the campsite were soaked, I stayed cozy and dry. Make sure you put all the guy lines out and everything to make sure rain doesn't roll down the rain fly and onto the mesh. Wonderful tent, could use some more stakes but I ain't complaining. Pretty heavy to go backpacking with unless you have a friend to split the load.... God Bless and safe adventures!!

This tent meets all expectations!I bought this tent with the intention of doing a combination of car and backpack camping. It has come on two car trips so far but would easily be carried between two people for backpackers. The setup and breakdown are simple and sturdy. It provides the perfect amount of space for two adults and a dog, some bags inside the tent and under the rain fly. The orange color looks sharp, not too much of a "warning," and the materials are strong. I bent one stake ever so slightly (read: still certainly usable) but that may have been because my mallet was too heavy. That is truly my only complaint so far though - it is all around an excellent tent! My favorite part is how they've situated pockets inside the tent for every day carry items and how the interior is so roomy and cozy.

Very Good Quality, Well Ventilated.I'm very happy with my tungsten tent. I've owned this tent for exactly a month and used it 3 times. It has many useful features such as flashlight holders, rainfly vents, big rainfly with a lot of room, and sealed/durable seams. I however am a little annoyed it only came with 6 stakes (12 different spots to put them) and 4 lines (6 needed), but everything else is fine.

This tent is awesome! Great design features!!I bought this tent to use as a two-man backpacking tent for adults. We need plenty of space for our sleeping pads and other gear and this tent provides all of that. We've only used if for a couple of overnighters but will be leaving this weekend for a 12 day backpacking trek through the rockies and can provide and update about it when I return.

I'm sold!Just used our tent on a family backpacking trip where we spent 2 nights in thunder and lightning storms, 1 night of hail and nearly 36 hours of non-stop rain (heavy storm rains), but yet our tent held strong and kept us completely dry. I'm sold on Marmot after last weekend! This was our first Marmot tent purchase and is sure NOT to be our last.

Such a Great Tent... Why Skimp on Extra's?I've had this tent out only one time so far. It's easy to set up, sturdy, and discovered that yes... its rain proof. I'm not a big-time camper, so I was caught off guard when I only found 6 stakes and not enough rain ties. I thought I lost them , but as I read the other reviews it seems that the standard kit is short. The instructions are pretty good. However, since this was my first "quality" tent, I wasn't sure what the extra flat piece was for. After researching, I'm still not sure. Watched several YouTube videos and nobody seems to use it. Is it a groundcloth.. or is it the "footprint" that is mentioned in some of the posts? By the way, I am 6' 7" tall and found this tent to be really comfortable, although my head and feet do touch the ends. There's enough room for only one more person, and that would be cozy, but I take up a lot of room. And what is the little 12" x 12" mesh cloth for? I love the multiple pockets and the hanger on top.. great for a small battery lantern.

Awesome tent, needs more pegsThis tent is a great tent, easy to pitch and definitely very spacious, the only issue I have is that it is sold with only 6 pegs, ideally it would have twice that many, with six one can only just about pitch it, without guy lines or the extra two spots on the side wall

More Bang for BuckThe only gripe I have is Marmot could spend some money on quality made stuff sacks for the tent, Really Marmot when you get your tent ditch the sacks and buy something that will actually protect your gear. The tent is more than worth protecting
What are the dimensions of this tent when it is packed up and in the bag?

Thanks for reaching out to us! I doubt I need to tell you, but Marmot is one of the best tent makers we carry. You've got a good eye. As for the packed size (In Stuff Sack) that will be 22 x 8in (56 x 20.3cm). Hope this helped you out!
