"Warm and compressible. Man's new best friend in the mountains!"
02/28/13
This bag is da bees' knees. I don't use it a whole lot in NOLA, but for trips to the mountains, this bag has never let me down. Perfect for those 20-degree night, and works well in the single digits if you have a lady friend nearby (or male equiv.). I'm just shy of 6'1", so I always get suckered into the long, but I think a regular could have worked out okay.I'm most impressed with the compressibility - stuffs to the size of an old-school Folger's coffee can, or a decorative pumpkin, or a three-year-old's head, or a new born baby... hopefully one of those helps.
I got this bag about 1 year ago and could not be happier with it. I have used it in the snow during winter down to about 23 degree and was toasty. I have also used it a lot when I go hammock camping. It gets pretty warm if you sleep on the ground during the summer but if you use it in your hammock and leave it open it works great. It added great cushion for my hammock and I slept great on a week long trip. Pretty reasonable price. The stuff sack that comes with it is pretty big and it is not a compression sack, little bit longer to pack up in the morning. Overall very satisfied, would suggest it to a friend, already have actually and he loves his as well.
