I was just discussing favorite sleeping bags with my buddy, Jeff (we do this every Monday morning), and he claims that his all-time favorite bag is his Marmot Pinnacle 15F. I thought I'd log on here really quick and write about it. Stuffed with 800+ fill goose down, there is no question that this bag delivers ample warmth. My pick was the Marmot Helium 15F, which is a slightly lighter bag, but Jeff maintains that he greatly appreciates the Pinnacle's looser cut over the tighter mummy cut of the Helium. Fair enough, Jeff. If you're looking for just one sleeping bag for year-round usage, this is your best bet. It'll get you through the winter no problem, and the full-length zip will allow ample ventilation to handle the summer.

This is a good bag for the moneyI have had this bag a while. Its about the best buy you can get for this quality. It has a high down quality which is just fine for anyone, my opinion much higher than this isnt needed. light weight also a plus. I used this bag in the snow for 2 nights and it served me well. Packs down light and is durable and comfortable. Comes with a loft bag which is nice to keep in my closet so it doesnt get jacked up.I am 5'10'' 165lbs I can get inside it and zip it up all the way and cover my face if need too. I would recommed this bag to anyone else that isnt rich but wants to spend a little to get a great bag.

Great fairly-cold-weather bagI really love this bag. I bought it to use anytime except summer (live in the Northwest US), especially camping on snow. ,,,,It is very light (long size, 2 lb 11 oz), stuffs very small (in a compression bag), and keeps me warm and toasty. The coldest I used it was on snow on Mt. Rainier at 10,000 ft, fairly good wind blowing all night into a summer tent with lots more ventilation than I needed that night. I was on a Big Agnes air mattress, and got slightly cold half way through the night, from the insulation --or lack of insulation-- under me. I put on some snow pants and slept very toasty the rest of the night. ,,,,I haven't used this in warm weather yet, and suspect you'd want to have it fully unzipped for summer use. ,,,,It's a great value for the money, having 800 down, and good compression.

Like what I see so far!Very comfy & warm down bag. My only complaint so far as others have mentioned is that the zipper is prone to catching if you do not take your time. I am 6' tall, 195 lbs. Most every bag is rated 6' for the regular. I went with the long as I did not want to feel cramped up at the feet. There is plenty of room in this bag for me in length and girth. I will use the excess room at the feet to keep my clothes warm. Probably would have been fine with the "regular" length. I had recently purchased a Kelty Cosmic Down 20 in long. I returned it after buying this bag as I felt a bit cool in it in 40 degree weather. With the 2 bags side by side the Marmot Pinnacle is 4 to 6 inches longer (I returned the Kelty after receiving this bag). I feel the hood is a little too small but do not find myself backpacking in super cold temps where I cinch it tight so this is not much of an issue. Build quality seems very good. I will update after a season. Like it so far!
