The Marmot Never Summer Sleeping Bag is a zero degree sleeping bag for adventures in the cold. The Never Summer is filled with 650 fill power down, and updated with the Down Defender treatment for additional protection against wet conditions. Nobody likes a damp sleeping bag, and Down Defender repels water instead of soaking in. Super neat. Hunker down into the 5-baffle hood and the down-filled draft collar and heat bump draft tube prevents the cold from sneaking into the bag when the wind is howling outside on the mountain. Secure your headlamp in the nearby stash pocket in case you wake up in the middle of the night. Although you’ll wake up to a cold environment outdoors, the Never Summer will have you dreaming of Bora Bora through the night.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A 0 DEGREE BAG, THIS IS IT!I order the long option because I am 6'4'' and I'm glad I did. I think it was just about right for my size. The bag also packs down pretty small for a zero degree bag. The bag comes with a stuff sack as well as a bigger storage bag to help maintain the loft of the down when not in use. I recently used the bag while hammocking in Oregon and it kept me toasty in about 30 degree temps. I actually had to unzip the bag because i got so hot. ,,The down defender is also a nice feature. This bag will also zip together with another never summer bag if you so desire. Bottom line: this is a great bag with the always trusted Marmot quality!

It's a good bagIt's a good bag, but pay close attention to the EN rating. I'm a cold sleeper. I've had the bag down to -5 and survived but was very cold. This is not a bag that is meant to go well below 0F as other reviewers may suggest. I think the bag is very comfortable above 15F and sustainable down to 0F. However, I like to be toasty. If you are a cold sleeper do not plan on pushing this bag to 0F. I've had this bag for 13 years. It is very durable and has served me well.

Great first impressionUsed this bag for the first time a couple days ago. Myself and 2 others slept in a 4-season tent at ~11,700 ft in the Colorado Rockies. The temps were around 20°F and the winds were probably up to 30mph gusts. I wore wool socks, underwear, a light polyester shirt and no hat, and still had to zip open the bag to regulate my temperature. Super warm and imagine the 0°F rating is probably quite accurate.

Very Warm Sleeping BagMarmot has great quality products and a reputable name so for the price of this bag with 650 power down it was a no brainer. Im really glad I bought this bag and will put it to good use climbing in the mountains. It feels great. It has a really nice draft collar and hood that can be tightened down all the way down to a small opening for my face. I would definitely recommend this bag.

Ok for not cold winterThe bag is light and fine for winter.
However, if you are really gonna stay in a cold environment (10F for my case), you will feel cold and better bring extra layer of down jacket. I also found the feathers keep on coming out the bag, which is a little annoying.
Since this is high priced product and Marmot, I would give 3 star.

i had this bag ten yearsThis bag lasted me a long time. It wasn't great for actual cold weather sleeping but it worked well for southern California nights. i shivered through a few cold nights in the Adirondacks in freezing weather but I lived through it I upgraded to a much nicer bag to avoid this but will still take this bag out for normal outings.

Would definitely recommendVery nice bag with nice features. Kept me nice an warm on first my winter backpacking trip in the Catskills (<10 degrees F, in Lean-to). Nice and light, packs up small in a 15L compression sack in a 75L backpack. Marmot is a nice, reputable brand that I can trust for my sleeping bags.

Comfort Plus!I received this bag as a Christmas present and have used it x2 since (less than a month since Christmas). It is an excellent, very comfortable bag and when they say it's good for 0 degrees they mean it. Highly recommended.
