Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, would buy again. It looks great sitting on the hanger. I've just received it last night and tried it on, haven't had the chance to use it yet. nice feel on the inside, and doesn't swoosh on the outside when you swing your arms. lots of adjustability on the hood and a good hem cinch. cuff velcro allows you to tailor sleeve length. Nice big front pockets that are set high so you can still use them with a pack wrapped around your waist. ,,,,Lightweight, thin, comfortable. ,,,,I typically wear a size 44 jacket, but have longer than average arms, so I got an XL. not disappointed. plenty of room in shoulders and under the arms and more than adequate sleeve length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insane This jacket it totally bada*s! I use this as a rain coat, a wind jacket for XC skiing, or over my Variant Jacket for protection from wind and rain. I can shower with this jacket and it won't get wet! Water rolls of this jacket like Gortex Pro. Breathable enough to wear XC skiing and it completely blocks wind. Light enough that you won't sweat. You'll definitely need a base/mid layer under this jacket for sub 35 degrees. Styling is amazing and I've gotten great comments on the coat. I'm 6'2", 220 and XL fits perfect and can even fit my Ibex mid layer under it. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite Jacket I've had this jacket for two years now and its my go to coat for any wet outdoor activity.  Because its breathes while maintaining your core temperature, Its the only jacket I've ever owned where after an hour of shoveling the driveway I'm not a sweaty mess.  This is the perfect jacket for active winter people, getting in an out of the car going for instance I'm never too hot or too cold.  get this jacket you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I toured the Haute Route in this jacket this past April and was perfect. Worked great during a storm on the first day and breathed well later in the tour when it warmed up. It was a great "quiver of one" choice when space in the pack is limited. My favourite jacket now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Breathes!! I bought this jacket last fall and have used it for many outdoor activities. Never have I felt clammy like hard-shells. Also as a bonus I think it looks rather nice and is my go-to go around town rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Jacket I'm easy to please, but still I think this is a great jacket. The color really pops and it's got pockets in all the right places. It also keeps me nice and warm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High marks for breathability Honestly, it takes some time to get used to a jacket like the Zion. You still get damp inside the jacket when you are working hard, but you dry off so quickly once activity returns to normal that you ultimately stay very dry. This jacket replaced a nearly 20 year old Marmot GoreTex shell that died (and Marmot warrantied) due to fabric delamination. Marmot gets some serious points for standing behind their product (even one that old).  As i mentioned, this jacket will allow you to dry out really quickly. I have been using it to snowboard in lately and if i am damp when i get to the lift line after a run, i'm dry by the time i get back to the top of the mountain.  I also really like the feel of the fabric. It is very quiet and soft to touch, which makes this a good jacket even for "around town."  Overall i am really happy with the shell.  I took 1 star off for these issues.  1. The zipper is a little tough to use one handed, especially around the collar area. 2. the Hood adjusters on the front are inside the collar and require playing with the above mentioned zipper to get to them. 3. The jacket is pretty heavy compared to typical "hard shells" Those are very small issues to deal with when you consider the awesome breathability of this shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Air Flow! I've been through a lot of different kinds of shells, but this is my first softshell and my first made from Polartec Neoshell. It is by far the most air permeable waterproof fabric I've ever had the pleasure of using. You definitely have to layer accordingly because it does pass air and in high winds you can feel the air moving, which in my opinion and application is a welcome addition to the over promised “Breathable AND Waterproof” claim.  The jacket does not have pit zips, the idea being it breathes so well they are not needed, I generally concur, however there were a couple times last spring where I would have liked to have them. It is also very quiet compared with Gortex and Gelanots. It is an athletic fit. I'm 6' and 185#, long arms and not much belly, the large fits nicely with room for thinner layers. Marmot has a good fleece liner on the inside of the fabric that is soft and smooth. I think the Zion jacket was designed for climbing, but I used it all last season skiing and it worked wonderfully for all but the really cold days. The pockets are exceptionally placed for me as I ski with a pack and all the pockets are placed to be pack compatible. Overall, it is a terrific shell and continues my great experiences thus far with Marmot as a brand. I think you get outstanding technology, durability, and craftsmanship without the crazy markup of some of the other brands.
