Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coat My husband has been in search of a coat he could wear with the conflicting requirements of: not too short, but not as long as his wool coat, not too bulky, but warm enough for Midwest winters. This coat is PERFECT. It hits all of the requirements. It is stylish (he has received many compliments), warm enough, a great length for wearing over a suit coat and appropriate looking in a work setting. It also wicks away water from rain and snow. Removable hood is nice. The material is a nice quality and texture. He appreciates while the Marmot logo is embroidered on the arm, it is a subtle gray that doesn't scream the brand name.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Looking jacket that is mean on the streets I was in the market for a longer mens winter jacket that will keep me warm during the midwest winters.,,,,The Pros: It is long, neck is comfortable, Neck buttons up nicely. Pockets are good, hood fits well, chicks dig it, very lightweight, quiet, stops wind, works well with a suit, should stop rain/snow (cant confirm), Cost,,,,The Cons: Little bulky in the gut region Shoulders are perfect, but it is looser fitting than I expected. I am 5'11.37 155lbs and the stomach is not snug against me. It does leave room for layers, but i was going for a solve all coat that doesn't require layering. Not ultra warm. Cant zip all the way up with a scarf. Should be able to tighten the waist,,,,Testing: Walked last night at 17(F) for just over 2 miles round trip with a thin t shirt on below. Winds were moderate, and I wore a scarf with no hat. I was not cold at any time during the walk. Added an omniheat jacket beneath and I called the polar vortex up and challenged him to a fight.,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good Jacket was what I was looking for; a 3/4 length go around town do anything jacket. It is a little big and easy to wear a sweater under if need be. The only complaint is, even though there's lots of space in it, the shoulders can be a little tight when moving around in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for work or a night out Fits well over a sport coat or without. Looks great. Warm and the hood comes in handy with snow.
