"Great price for a quality product" 06/05/13
Most of my down jackets and my shell are Marmot but I really wanted something with Gore-Tex. I was pleasantly surprised to walk in to the store and see Marmot had started making Gore-Tex and at a great price. Jacket is lightweight and water beads up nicely
"Very Good Jacket" 04/27/13
Very happy with this purchase. Got it in 'Team Red' and it looks sick. The fit is great, looks slim but is big enough to wear as an outer layer which is what it's meant for obviously. Keeps me completely dry of course, the adjustable wrist openings are a nice touch as I use it for biking mostly. The only thing is that the hood doesn't quite fit over my helmet, but zipped all the way up the jacket is enough to keep comfy.
"Great, Lightweight and WaterProof" 02/02/13
I go hiking atleast twice a month and being in TN you dont really need and great big jacket, this jacket is perfect for the everyday hiker, light, warm, lightweight and waterproof. Perfect jacket for my climate.
"Versatile Gore-Tex Shell" 12/12/12
I have owned this jacket for 2 years and I find it is thicker than other rain shells. This allows the jacket to be used in more weather conditions than just rain. It has pit zips for ventilation when you're hot. I have sailed to the Bahamas Ft. Lauderdale and it worked flawlessly in the rough sea conditions. I recently took it to New Zealand on the Routeburn Great Walk and it was money. I also used this as a ski jacket at Loveland, CO and Mt. Rose, Lake Tahoe in Jan/Feb. As long as you have the proper layers underneath, I find this shell to be awesome all year round. Iām 6ā4ā 190lbs and own the XL, it is a regular fit, not slim/athletic. Adjustable hood is crap, the Velcro is weak. 4.5/5.
"Great outer layer" 10/07/12
Keeps wind out. The zippers below the sleeves are great to cool you down. It is a very slim fitted. So if you plan to use thick layers beneath. You might want to get the next size up.
"Great Jacket" 09/25/12
I just purchased this jacket so I have not been able to get out and use it in the rain and snow just yet. But I did want to mention the size and fit of this jacket. It fits a bit slimmer then I had anticipated, which might make layering in the winter snugger then I would like it to be. Otherwise I think this is the best deal on the market for a Gore-Tex Paclite rain jacket. The hood is a good size for a casual around-town jacket. The construction of the jacket is very solid, Marmot makes a beautiful product. If you want a gore-tex paclite jacket but dont want to spend close to 300 bucks on an Arcteryx or 250 on a patagonia, this is the way to go.
"Great year round jacket. Highly waterproof and breaths well." 08/07/12
I purchased this jacket last fall for all the rain we were having and ended up working great in a layering system for winter. The material is made with Gore-tex which produces a highly waterproof yet breathable jacket. The pit zips allow you to stay cool while shedding summer rain on the trail. It also works well blocking cold winter winds when layered over a fleece. It actually block wind so well I use it as a motorcycle jacket. It can be compressed small enough to fit in the chest pocket, which makes it great for carrying in a backpack. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a year round rain jacket. Plus Marmot has a lifetime guarantee!
"Keeps the water out and heat in" 07/09/12
Works great in the rain! I used it for hiking Rainier and pressure washing on a rainy day. Stayed completely dry! Gets a little warm though, even with the pit zips. Just make sure you layer properly when you have it on, don't underestimate it's heat. Also, gore-tex has a certain smell to it, which can resemble an odd B.O. smell, so just be aware.
