"Nicely Made But Poorly Sized"  02/08/12

This is a wonderfully made medium-weight jacket. Unfortunately, it did not even closely fit me. I ordered a men's small - and am a perfect small (exactly a 38 short in a suit and 15/32 in a dress shirt) - and it was at least a size too big - in the arms, shoulders, length, everywhere. I checked the tag three times to make sure it was a small and not a medium. Now seeing similar reviews online with other marmot softshell jackets...consider yourself warned!

"Perfect fit, comfortable, windproof"  11/28/11

Have had this jacket for about a month and it is great at blocking wind, water beads up like crazy and the fit couldn't be much better. Not the warmest jacket, comfortable into the 40s without much underneath. The details are very good...zippers, draw-string in pockets. I usually wear a large, for the shoulders and sleeve lengths, but the medium is perfect without feeling too tight, slim fit. I have washed it and everything turned out as expected, just like new. This is a good 3-season jacket

"Great soft shell"  12/24/10

I love this soft shell. It is very warm which makes it great for layering. The lining is very nice and soft, it seems to be a great well made jacket. I also love that the bottom hem adjusts in the pocket so that it doesn't catch on anything. It also seems to repel water pretty well, something I didn't expect. I have nothing bad to say about it, it is great!

"Great Softshell!"  12/19/10

I love this jacket! The fit is excellent and since it is more of an athletic fit it is a great layer under my shell jacket. I love the chest pocket as it fits my cell phone perfectly keeping it in easy access. Another great design is the waist cincher stores the extra cord inside the hand pockets so there is no loops to snag on anything. The weight of the jacket is perfect for chilly days or even cold ones. It is a great windstopper and rain shedder as well. I have never been too chilled or damp in this jacket. This jacket is a must have! I believe it really is the perfect softshell for those cool days in the backcountry or just around hanging out on the town!

"If I Could Marry a Jacket..."  12/18/10

...Yeah, I love this thing that much. Superb, understated styling; lightweight comfort that is windproof and warm; and a fit that makes me feel better about myself. With a long sleeve baselayer, I am comfortable in the low 30s. The wind hasn't had a chance against this thing. You heard me wind, you've got nothing. I'm 5'9" and 190 pounds of knee-weakening muscle (hey, my review, my creative license), and the large fits just right. Snug enough, but not restricting. I think the only thing I can say against this jacket is that it caused me to have to spend more money when I realized how inferior the gloves I had were at keeping me warm and blocking wind.

"Great Jacket"  11/15/10

Lightweight but warm. Comfortable but stylish. I'm borderline medium/large in most brands. Went with the large and it fits great. Excellent jacket for fall and spring (keeps me warm down into the 40s). Highly recommended.

"No Extra Just Enough"  11/12/10

This jacket is sweet! No extra junk on it trying to make it look extreme that just adds weight and serves no real trail purpose. This is a jacket for someone who knows what they want and they don't need to show everyone that they are captain alpine. Good insulation without being bulky, and perfect for layering. My new go to soft shell.
