The Marmot Limelight 3 Person Tent is a backpacking tent for three season camping and hiking. The Limelight 3 is a spacious place for two or a cozy shelter for three. The package includes everything you need for a backpacking trip, tent body, poles, rain fly, gear loft, and footprint. The tent body connects to the poles via clips, making for a fast set up. The rain fly is 100% polyester ripstop with 1800mm coating for wet weather protection, which creates two vestibules at opposite sides of the tent for keeping your gear dry. The D-shaped doors allow for easy entry and exit, are half-mesh for ventilation, and can be unzipped and rolled to the side for even more venting. The Bare Bones setup allows you to pitch the tent with just the footprint, poles, and rain fly, making your pack lighter and the adventure faster. Just watch out for skeeters.

Solid Tent HereOverall this tent is a win. Itâs a great balance of cost and features. Sure you can find tents that will out perform the Marmot but you will also pay significantly more for them. Additionally, you can find a gob of tents that are a lot cheaper than this tent but you will undoubtedly be compromising somewhere else. So if youâre looking for a solid all around tent that wonât break the bank, go buy a Marmot Limelight 3P. We wrote a full review on it and shot a video for everyone if your interested (sorry for the link but MJ does not allow you to upload videos for the reviews!) Great performance at mid price range.Used the Mermot Limelight 3, a good two person tent, for a week in Minnesota's BWCA . All types of conditions, some extreme wind, rain, and hail. Tent performed well. A little splash back off of the fry and up onto the lower side screens, but never had any water in the tent, with a shallow river flowing under it at times. For Two people, offers room for bags and packs, and vestibule offers extra space for boots and other gear. Like the custom ground cloth with corner tabs and grommets, stays centered under tent, even if you move the tent. Like the more environmentally friendly sage green color. Set up with one person in about four minutes, including the fry.

low venting has drawbacksI love the size of the vestibules, interior height is great. it's easy to set up. Great for 2 people plus gear, or one person plus large dog. However, in a hard rain, the rain splashed up under the rainfly and into the tent due to the low profile ventilation. The low profile ventilation also creates quite a draft on your head and feet.

Great TWO Person TentThere might not be enough room for three normal sized (American) human beings for this tent, but it is perfect for two people and a bag or two of gear. I have never had a problem with rain, and it stood up to 40 MPH winds in the NC mountains. It is VERY easy to set up and take down and only takes a minute or two to do. Quality tent! ,,,,Note: Be sure to set up your tents before going out in the wild. There is nothing worse than getting yelled at sitting inside your pitched tent (with a beverage in hand) watching others try to set up their tent they have never used before (even worse when the weather isn't cooperating, at night). You won't have a problem getting this tent set up in no time!

Great tent for the costTook this tent along on my 4-day to the UP of Michigan and it performed beautifully in cold, wet and windy conditions the first two nights. There wasn't a drop of water from any avenue that leaked into this tent. I had it up within five mins each time we stopped and the rainfly and footprint held up really superbly.,,,,The cherry on top of buying this, was that it was pretty inexpensive relative to its performance and the other similar-sized and rated options out there. Highly recommend.

A quality tentAs I unpacked it,the first thing I noticed was how much lighter it was compaired to my other 3 man tent.I then unwrapped it,the poles were so light and the tent was well made.I looked for instructions so I could set it up,there were none,no worries it was easy to set up.Zippers work great, don't get caught up on the sides when your opening or closing the tent.I then jumped inside,a great 2 man tent.Sure you can get 3 people in it sittting down playing cards on a rainy afternoon, but if you want to sleep with some elbow room,2 people is the way to go.I read a few reviews that said the same.To be honest,I haven't tried it with 2 other adults but with my 2 kids, the tent was just fine for the 3 of us.I'm very happy I bought this tent.

Excellent price, easy to use and high quality tentI have owned several tents and for the money this is one of the best. First time I set it up I did so in the dark while watching 2 kids and it still took no more that 3 minutes. The first night was clear and tucking the rain fly up for more air flow was simple. Second night was raining and with the rain fly down absolutely nothing seeped into the tent. Shared the tent with my kids and using the vestibules for our larger items left us snug but not uncomfortable inside. Overall very impressed with the performance and quality of this tent.

Sturdy Tent with Easy BuildSo we've all grown up with the old tents that had the fabric sleeve that you had to feed the poles through and the try and bend the poles while also evening the fabric so that you could reach the holes. Then after all is said and done, you had just enough space to feel cramped with everything and sleep uncomfortably for a while. Oh the fond memories! Well you can blame this little sucker for your kids not having to share those memories. Little twerps will have it easy. In case you can's tell from the picture, the poles are easily bent and entered into the holes, and as if it was dreamt by the gods the tent has little clips that latch onto the poles making this tent quite possibly the easiest thing to build in the world. and as if that wasn't enough, not only is it roomier than my house it also has a small hanging hammock for you to store small gear items so that things are up out of the way. I even have a little light that hangs on it perfectly. Talk about spoiled!
