The Marmot Limelight 2 Person Tent is a two person tent that doesn't complicate your backpacking adventures. The Limelight is simple to set up and includes everything you need to live comfortably. The three poles connect to the tent body via 'Easy Pitch' clips and they're color coded to speed up the process. The footprint is included to protect the floor and life of your tent from rocks, sticks, and various debris. A single door opens wide for fast entry and exit. Located around various portions of the tent body are mesh panels for ventilation on hot nights. When rain is inevitable, throw the rain fly over top to deter the rain and snuggle up inside with a book or a game of cards. The included gear loft secures items off the floor when not in use. The fly also creates a large vestibule for keeping your pack dry and muddy shoes out of the tent. Drop the extra weight when your hiking buddy isn't available to join you by using the optional Bare Bones setup. Just leave the tent body at home, using the fly, footprint, and poles as a minimalist shelter.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZINGThis tent is DA BOMB. My boyfriend and I went to Red River Gorge to climb and stayed at Miguel's (I know that's not important, but its a great place to stay for climber, 2 bucks a night and amazing food). This was the first time using this tent and it was perfect for the two of us. ,,,,The boyfriend is 6'1" ish and had plenty of room. We had all of our stuff in here and didn't feel crowded. ,,,,It rained (I mean, really rained) the first night and we were completely dry. We left our shoes under the rain fly in the grass and they were even dry. It was the perfect way to test this tent. I have nothing but good things to say about this tent.

Best 2 Person tent for the moneyBest value from a great name. I have used this tent dozens of times and fornthe price I am amazed everytime I use it. It comes with the footprint AND the gear loft. This cant be overlooked. it saves you having to spend additional $$$ and is a nice touch. It is literally ready to go out to the field right when you pick it up. Mine has the window in the rainfly which I like to be able to check the weather before I climb out. I didnt even have to seal the seams and the tent hasnt leaked a drop yet. Vestibule is ok and will fit boots and a pack. The 2 person designation, while could be done, would be crowded. I recomend a 3 person for 2 people camping.

Pretty decent tent, No doubt.I've only used this tent about 5 times but it's been great so far. It lightly rained one time we were out and we had no issues. Stayed completely dry. It's very sturdy and fairly light weight. My boyfriend tends to carry it for us when we are backpacking and he doesn't seem to be bothered by the weight of this tent. He and I and my dog (60lb pooch) can fit comfortably in here actually. She hangs out at our feet and that keeps us extra toasty which is nice. Set-up is crazy easy and so is the breakdown. It takes less than 5 minutes to set up or breakdown, especially once you get the hang of it. EASY PEASY, LEMON SQUEEZY. My boyfriend has been backpacking a lot longer than me and with lots of different tents and he loves the easy set up of this one. We've been doing a lot of cold weather camping too and the ventilation of this tent is great. Haven't woken up to find any condensation inside our tent. Overall an excellent tent so far.

would buy again. This product is SOLID! it basically set it self up and its a good thing because it did not come with instructions. The mesh windows let a ton of air in and if it were to be raining out then the inside could get wet rather quickly, the rain cover has a little vent in the back to prevent over heating so that a niceeee. (rain cover will keep the rain out),,,,I would buy it again, price is great, light enough for backpacking. not durable enough for Everest.

Great 3 season tent for the pricePrice-quality ratio is really good for a 3 season tent. ,,Pros: ,, - Easy and fast to setup, Light, seems tough (though I haven´t try it with winds greater than 35km/h), very comfortable size, and it will keep you completly dry even if it rains for a week. Usually the fly gets soaked and if you touch it from the inside is wet. That doesn´t happen with this fly.,,,,Cons:,,- Back window can only be opend/closed from the outside. The entrance to the tent is not direct. I mean, the right door of the fly is guyed to the ground, so you enter through the left side of the fly, but then the tent door opens from the right. That´s not too bad, but it´s akward they built it that way.,,,,Other than that, great tent! PS: To go really light, you can just take the footprint, the fly, 2 poles and some stakes. Footprint designed to allow that setup

Great value, well worth your time and money. You are probably not going to find a better deal than the Marmot limelight (trust me, I looked.) It is a high quality tent (as you would expect from Marmot) that fits two (significant other would be best but its big enough for it to not be awkward if you were camping with your sister) easy setup (~5 min?) packs up easy and into a decent size. Gear loft and footprint included! You're not going to be disappointed with this tent.

VALUE WITH QUALITYi mean its not the lightest, but not the heaviest either and its fairly compact but for the money its really hard to beat. especially since its just as nicely as any other marmot tent. the cross brow pole is really cool because it makes it 20x as spacious feeling when its 100 degrees at night with a smelly friend and a rainfly on. clausterphobia isnt an issue. plus a foot print which is amazing.

Not a great tent for the money. This tent is probably fine if you don't have a lot of experience using tents and/or you dont camp all the time. But for those of us who are looking for a quality tent that's going to provide years of durable use - look elsewhere. Though I haven't sold mine off yet (it's a good back up when people forget their own tent or worse yet show up with anything made by coleman). Biggest draw backs I have found thus far are the lack of 2 doors (good lucking squeezing two people here) and the fact that for whatever reason this tent holds "smell" terribly. I have tried to air it out over multiple nights and was unable to get the smell out. Durability is also an issue. The bag it came in is by no means durable enough to carry it in on the trail. For $$$ you should look more at Kelty TN2, the REI half dome (best bang for your buck), or or wait for something better to go on sale. Marmot products in general aren't anything to brag about. 90% of their stuff is cheap junk (much like The North Face).
