The Marmot Hydrogen Sleeping Bag is a lightweight sleeping bag for 30 degree nights through the backcountry. When you’re hauling your bed on your back, the Hydrogen makes it easier by weighing in at 1lb, 8oz (regular). The 850+ fill power goose down is treated with Down Defender, providing the bag with water-resistance for trips that turn damp. The lightweight 20 denier nylon ripstop fabric is coated with a durable water repellent, allowing water to bead up on the surface and be brushed away. Packing down small, it takes up less space, leaving room for other gear, or for taking a smaller pack.

Warm, lightweight, so so comfortable.Amazing bag. I've now spent a year camping and hiking with it and have found no flaws. This bag has been through alpine weather and desert nights, all very comfortably. Exceptionally soft, yet strong materials. Nice zipper garage and simple design overall.,,,,I am 6'2" and the long fits me well. I have been very comfortable with this bag around 30f;,,haven't gone much lower yet. I pair it with a big agnes.insulated q core and i do sleep warm. I did get the bag slightly wet during an autumn trip in sequoia and did not notice any cold spots. It dried out very quickly.,,The hydrogen packs down very well. I tend to stuff it throughout my bag to fill space, but the stuff sack is super tiny and efficient if needed. I pack fairly lightweight and this matches my weight-goals well. It's not a super cold weather bag, but this helps me get away with some warmer temps. Not to mention couch-naps. ,,Overall I am very satisfied with the hydrogen. Marmot pleases yet again.

Marmot makes a heady sleeping bag, no doubt.I have put this sleeping bag through hell and 2 rainbow gatherings, it still holds up. I spent an entire winter at 4500ft in the Siskiyous in this sleeping bag, many nights at 20F or even lower and though it would take a bit to get it warmed up inside especially around my feet, it would keep me warm. Ive used it damp and it still kept me warm. You shouldn't have that problem too much though cuz in the sun, or hanging up this sleeping bag seems to dry before your eyes, truly incredible. My only complaint is at the worst times, the zipper would catch a grip of the ultra thin material and would get VERY stuck half open, often i would give up on it and try to hold it shut till morning or get so frustrated trying to deal with the zipper, sleep was out of the question. It wouldn't happen too often but when it did it it was very upsetting. It does get very small when packed up, and has never ripped or torn. I upgraded to the Plasma after two satisfying years of the Hydrogen.

Super bagBought this bag to replace a 20 year old poly fill bag and am super happy with it. Took it backpacking on the Appalachian Trail for 3 days in 26-44F weather and was toasty every night. Super light and compresses very small. My buddy who guides on the Grand Teton recommended it. You'll like it.
