"Talk about quality!" 01/21/12
Admittedly this is my first down sleeping bag, but I wanted to start off right. First campout I stayed toasty warm, dry, and comfortable. Bumped the tent and had some condensation rain down on me and the water just rolled off the bag. Especially like how small it compresses into the included stuff sack. Very impressed!
"Warm bag. Stays dry." 09/03/11
I've used this bag in the summer with nights around 50-60 F as well as at Kilimanjaro at 0 F (with a liner). Mornings when others' bags had accumulated moisture and were even wet, this bag was completely dry. The EQ is definitely worth the extra cost.
"It doesn't get any better than this!!" 04/17/11
So soft. So comfortable. So warm (but not ridiculously warm). So light. So small packing. So-co and lime is delicious. So nice looking and blue. So good to not have to worry about a little bit of moisture affecting your beautiful down bag. So the nicest bag I have ever owned. So........... buy it and you wont regret it. So good!
"Need a light, warm, moisture-resistent bag? This one ain't just the shiznit; it's the shiznizizit!" 08/15/10
If you're looking at this bag, it's because you're intrigued by shell fabric, right? Right. So, let's cut right to the chase: the MemBrain fabric WORKS. Now, it won't keep you dry in a torrential downpour (duh!), but it does deal handily with the saturating dew of the Pacific Northwest's Hoh Rainforest; many a morning I've awoke after sleeping under the stars to find my bag completely covered with dew, yet the insulation was perfectly dry and lofted. Brilliant!BOTTOM LINE: if you're facing heavy dew, or even light drizzle, but you don't want to pack a shelter, or obscure your view of the brilliant night sky, suck it up, pay the extra money and the three-ounce penalty, and BUY THIS BAG!
"Amazing bag, top quality, but at a price." 07/31/10
This is by far the nicest sleeping bag I've ever had the privilege of lying in. The 850 goose down feels snug and warm yet can also be compressed unlike any synthetic bag. The hood is a perfect fit to block out nasty breezes while allowing the occupant to breathe freely. Clearly, this is a well designed product. I'm happy I spent the extra money for this quality bag, I plan to use it for the rest of my life as long as i continue exploring.
"This is an awesome bag, best of both worlds 850 fill down + water proof shell on EQ." 06/15/10
This bag packs up about the size of a can of coffee and does not seem to weigh anything. It fluffs up really big when released from it's cage. It attacks cold like an angry lion. Purchased the bag for an early summer mountainering trip to Wyoming and damp/cold conditions in Smoky Mountains. It has never let me down. Replacing a Gore-Tex Moonestone bag with this one, because the Gore-Tex makes crackling noises when you roll over that are really loud and wakes everybody in camp up. The newer form of marmot g-tex on this is very quiet,windproof/waterproof. Can't go wrong with a Marmot bag!
"It's warm, light, compact, & it's going with me everywhere I go!" 06/01/10
I've had this bag a few months now & only have great things to say about it. It's kept me plenty warm on several mountaineering trips in the Sierra's & the Cascades. I only use one pad (NeoAir) and temps have been down near zero at times... I was still warm (I don't usually have problems in the cold though)! The bag stays dry = bonus. And my favorite part to this bag is the amount of space inside. I'm 6'4", weigh 210 lbs and have no problem staying comfy all night long in this bag (I bought the long). I am very happy with this sleeping bag.
"Great sleeping bag - Keeps me warm and dry." 06/01/10
Although I have only used this sleeping a few times it has exceeded my expectations. It kept me warm during my recent trip the Wind Rivers where is was around 20 degrees. It compacts really small in the included stuff sack and is super light. I have expect the shell to be durable and plan using this bag for a long time.
