The Marmot Helium 15 Sleeping Bag will keep you nice and toasty throughout the majority of the year (I’d call this bad boy a 3+ season bag). The Helium 15 is filled with 610 grams of primo, certified 850+ goose down in Marmot’s Santa Rosa, CA facility and is pretty light for a 15 degree sleeping bag, weighing in at 2 pounds 2.6 ounces. The Nautilus hood features six baffles, forming a 3D hood with the same warmth and comfort found on Marmot’s 8000m Jacket. Marmot incorporated a hood muff to keep cold air out and keep the hood draw cord from scratching that pretty face of yours. The Marmot Helium 15 Sleeping bag boasts many of the features Marmot sleeping bags are known for: an overstuffed, insulated draft tube, zipper guards, both a stuff and storage sack and their classic trapezoidal foot box, which offers tons of room for even Shaq-sized feet. If you’re a cold sleeper, you’ll appreciate the extra warmth this bag offers while out on Spring/Fall trips, and, if you’re a warm sleeper, you’ll find this bag can get you through some quick, early Winter trips. This Marmot down sleeping bag is a favorite for backpackers and mountaineers alike. Get one. Now.

"Awesome bag!"  03/29/12

This bag is one of the best I have used a little on the warm side for a 15 degree. Compresses very well and well worth the money.

"Light and Warm"  03/24/12

Got the tall size packs down well and stays very warm. Great foot box that is cut in a way where feet dont get cld when they touch the bottom. Kinda pricy but worth it in my opinion. I use this bag a ton especially in canadian spring and fall and expect it will continue to last.

"My go-to winter bag"  12/17/11

I got this sleeping bag for a trips up through the Rocky Mtns, This thing has helped my weather some very cooled nights. Teamed up with sleeping bag liner, the light weight down help keep me toast in the -0 night of Gunnison Wilderness. I also used it to sleep soundly in a snowcave, while my friends shivered out a cold night. Its pack down incredible small as well, just little bit big than a Nalgene bottle. I am very happy, I saved up and spent the little bit extra to get this great quality sleeping bag.

"Great Lightweight Bag"  12/07/11

Marmot makes top quality bags and this is no exception. I've had the Helium for a few yrs and the only thing that I'm not ecstatic about is that it doesn't have a true draft collar. If it did have a real draft collar, like my older Marmot Pinnacle, I'd be so ecstatic that it's ludicrous and give 5 stars. I prefer a real collar so that I don't have to close the bag up around my face to keep my body heat in. For me, the temp rating is a bit optimistic and it's more of a 30F bag. At 6' and 165 lbs I got the long- it's a bit big for me, but a medium isn't really long enough.

"Good value for your money"  11/09/11

This has been my sleeping bag for the last two months or so and so far I have been really pleased with it. I have used in environments where its cold but not freezing and it has been very comfortable and nice. I have not tried it where it is remotely moist but as long as its dry around you this bag will do its job. I would say it is relatively easy to pack; not too bulky at all. I especially like that it keeps the region around my head and neck warm and no cold air gets in. I recommend it.

"a great lightweight backpacking bag"  08/06/11

I like to keep my backpack on the lighter side. As such, I chose this sleeping bag primarily for its high warmth to weight ratio. It kept me comfortable in the High Sierras in the summer when the temperatures in my tent dipped into the twenties farenheit at night. Hence, I believe the bag to be appropriately rated. However, even sleeping on top of the bag keeps me too warm if the temperatures don’t dip to at least the low forties farenheit, so I wouldn’t recommend it for camping under warmer conditions.

"Good fit, warm and cozy! Slept like a baby."  07/06/11

Only tested this bag to down to the upper 30's (F) so far. The fit was great (I'm 5'8"/slender). Nice and lofty bag. There isn't as much of a collar on this bag as I'm used to, but the cinch down on the face is good, and I like the insulation over the zipper.

"Awesome bag! Super light, plenty warm, and perfect amount of room."  04/06/11

I was looking for a bag that would be ideal for week long backpacking treks in the Rockies. So it had to be light weight, compressible/packable, and able to keep me warm if temps drop a bit below freezing. This bag is definitely a WINNER for all of that and more. I'm 6'2" 200 lbs so I got the Long, and it is super comfy! I don't like being too "mummified" and the little extra shoulder room in this bag is awesome. I tested it in my backyard (MSR Hubba Hubba, Exped Downmat) with temps in mid 20's and was plenty cozy. Never had to zip it all the way up camping at 10,000 - 12,000 last July. It packs nicely in the 10L Sea to Summit eVent Compression Dry Sack. Perfect!

"pimped out super sweet and light bag...."  03/28/11

Sweet bag. I have carried this quite a few times in winter. The cut is roomy enough for me to get a good nights sleep. I do not have any complaints with this bag, and the rating seems true and accurate. You will dig this bag and me the envy of your friends!Im 6'2" so I bought the long, great fit with plenty of room to keep my socks or a waterbottle at me feet.greg

"Marmot does it again!"  07/26/10

I own 3 Marmot bags, and love all 3! This bag can easily be taken down to its 15F rating, and even lower. It's light, very compressible, and packs well into a 50L backpack. Simplicity is this bag's name, as it has all the features you would expect from a Marmot bag, but none of the extras ultralighters don't want, when trying to lighten up their loads. Even after being compressed into a stuff sack all day, it pops out and fluffs back up to normal within minutes.

"perfect for me"  08/20/09

This product is everything you want in a sleeping bag, it is warm and traps body heat. it also can be put in a bag and takes up very little space, which is important to me when I'm adventure biking. I like it
