Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Jacket I bought this for our 10 year old daughter and she loves it. We bought a similar Marmot layered jacket/fleece for her 3 years ago and it proved extremely durable. Finding reasonably priced breathable waterproof jackets for kids is no easy task. We really like how the fleece insert doesn't look like an insert and looks great by itself. We used the last one year round with no complaints and expect this one will be just as useful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Quality Bought this for my 12 year old daughter. She loves the blue color. It's difficult to find a girls jacket that's not too "girly" for her. The zip out fleece is very nice. Zippers and over all quality very good. Only giving 4 stars because haven't been through a whole Wisconsin winter with it yet. That will be the true test!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket I bought this jacket a few months ago for my daughter. She loves it. The fleece liner can easily be zipped out ad washed separately. the shell is completely waterproof, and the jacket is made very well. Perfect jacket for a rainy or snowy winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Quality and Versatility! I bought this for my 10-year old. She absolutely loves this jacket! She's athletic and her favorite feature is the removable fleece. It's about as soft and cozy as anything you can buy today. Highly recommend this coat, well worth the investment.

What temperature range would you recommend for this coat? Would it be warm enough for 10-degrees F in the winter? To me it feels like a light coat, suited for 30-40 deg F weather (note: I do not have any experience yet with the newer, thinner coats).tks!

Thanks for the question! The Northshore would be good for temps in the teens to 20's. If you wanted to go a step up, a heavier option would be the Marmot Girls' Sling Shot Jacket. That is 700 down-filled and also waterproof. It is basically a one-and-done jacket. I included a link below for you to check out. I hope this helps! http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Marmot-Girls-Sling-Shot-Jacket_10252662_10208_10000001_-1_

Does this Marmot coat have any insulation besides the zip out fleece liner? Is the shell itself insulated? Thanks.

Hiya, thanks for your question! The shell is lined but there is no insulation. Hope this helps!
