Marmot MemBrain

Marmot MemBrain
Marmot MemBrain fabrics utilize a polyurethane laminate that perfectly balances performance for anything nature can throw at you. Waterproof, breathable and durable, the external protection coupled with minimal internal condensation adds up to pure comfort.

PrimaLoft insulations and fabrics

PrimaLoft
PrimaLoft was originally developed to serve as a water resistant, synthetic alternative to goose down for the U.S. Army. Since then PrimaLoft has been a leader in insulation and fabric technologies in the outdoor industry, and is used by the top outerwear and clothing brands to craft pieces that offer warmth without bulky weight, packablity, and both water resistance and breathability for all your outdoor adventures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome, warm gloves! These gloves are really warm. In the past no matter what temperature outside, for skiing I have had to use hand warmers in my gloves. But not with these gloves. I've been skiing in Michigan and this winter has been really cold but these gloves stay warm! They are a bit bulky, I'm a woman and bought a size Med which supposedly was the right size but if I were to buy them again I might size down to a Small but the Meds are fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Minus temperatures I bought these gloves when I was teaching snowboarding in Breckenridge, CO. It was the best investment I made all season!  We would stand out in blizzards and wait for people to show up and take lessons.  In the worst conditions my fingers were toasty warm - in anything over 30 degrees fahrenheit my hands actually sweat a bit.  So glad they still make them and here I am ten years later to buy a new pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm, weatherproof mittens I picked up these mittens for use in cold-weather biking in Boulder as well as to keep me warm while hiking in the Rockies from about 20F and lower temperatures. I've used them a on several hikes and a bunch of days biking and they work really well! They're pretty weatherproof and they're extremely warm. There's plenty of room to put liner gloves or mittens underneath them. The cuffs are nice and fit over most jackets (probably not a huge parka though) and the tightening system works really well to keep cold air out.,,,,Some specifics: I've used them at about 12,000 feet in temperatures that were probably about 10F with a pretty strong wind and my hands were still quite warm. I'm going to continue using them throughout the winter and think they'll perform quite well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm! I ordered these and tried them out skiing in February! They were fantastic and my hands were actually hot at times. I have never had luck with mittens of any type being warm and these were unbelievable. I have average size hands for a woman, and the small fit well. These truly were unbelievably warm and wonderful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value Out There I wanted a pair of mitts that could keep my hands toasty both in the backcountry and snowboarding at the local resort, so I did some research and figured that the Expedition Mitts were the pair for me. It was a great call as they have out performed my expectations. The extra long cuff feels amazing and the Primaloft layering makes for hot hands. Only drawback is, in warmer winter temperatures (-10C/14F), I have found the glove to be a bit too warm!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Softest, warmest mitts I have ever owned I bought these for cold winters in Canada. A good finger glove can take you down well below freezing temperatures, but they start to falter below -20 Celsius. The Expedition Mitts have yet to be inadequate for any temperature I've experienced below that, and I haven't needed to wear any sort of liner glove underneath. I bought an XL, which feels slightly bigger than Marmot's XL glove style, but the little bit of extra room inside isn't a bad thing. Every one of my family members has tried these on and now wants a pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mittens I have the older version of these which I bought in Canada. I've used them down to -35c with a powerstretch liner glove whilst snowshoeing in Northern Sweden and never had cold hands. They are a great pair of expedition mitts, just as the title suggests.
