"I'm confident I could set this tent up on the side of a cliff and still sleep comfortably!" 04/22/10
My 6ft tall brother, my best friend, and I shared this tent for a week straight. Set up nicely in a parking lot for a quick nights sleep. Backpacked the Grand Canyon Rim where it barely budged in the strong morning wind right on the rim of the canyon. We all s lept comfortably with all of our gear packed under the vestibules. After much research I'm positive I chose the best tent to sleep three people spaciously!
"Not bad, though a bit pricey" 04/19/10
This is a great lightweight tent. Plenty of room for two people and a dog (my use) or even three people, tho I think its a bit squishy for that. Packs small, pretty nice like that. The one thing I don't really care for is that you have to have the rain fly on if you want any privacy. That's fine for the most part, but there's the occasional time... just saying.
"The Bottom Line is, this tent is amazing!" 07/11/09
I bought this tent on kind of short notice when I didn't really have the money to be purchasing a $370 tent. But I have never regretted the purchase. I've used this tent for everything from backpacking to canoeing in the Boundary Waters to car camping. In torrential rain in Missouri and 65 mph winds in the Mountains. Never had any condensation problems, or leaking when it rains. Amazing tent. Bomb-Proof. Good Value. Oh and love the fact that you can set it up with out the tent and just use the rain fly and footprint, it's great for the summer when you want to go light weight.
"Five pound cabin" 05/26/09
I took this bad boy to a local National Forest over the Memorial Day weekend. As with every Marmot tent I've experienced, it was easy, fast and intuitive to set up. The first 24 hours were rain free. The next 24 were very wet. If two of you are going to spend 17 hours in a tent, you must have this one. It is CAVERNOUS. Even with the gear loft there was plenty of headroom for sitting up. We put the iPhone in the gear loft and watched videos while reclined. Well ventilated and dry! If you are still undecided, the two doors and roomy vestibules should seal the deal.
"Great Great Great" 05/22/09
This is the best tent I have every owned. It is light weight but still provides a large sleeping platform, whether I am camping with my gf and two dogs or on a weekend trek with friends. I particularly enjoy the wide corners and the quick set up. This is a great tent and I recommend it to anyone to who is searching for a medium size tent for anything from overnights to extended expeditions.
"Rock solid performance." 07/08/08
Withstood a week of rain and wind without flinching. Fast to set up and take down. I have some doubts about this tents durability due to to huge amounts of mesh but I'm absolutely sold on its value and field-worthiness. Would buy again without hesitation.
"I would buy it again." 05/06/08
Can't believe how spacious it is. Or how lightweight. Have used it but haven't done the backpacking thing with it yet. Looking forward to that next month. Thanks, Moosejaw, for your help in selecting it. Of course, it being ORANGE didn't hurt either. My Boy Scouts will know which tent I'm in.
"Ultralight on weight but not on strenght. Great buy." 04/28/08
With the fly on this ultralight handled five nights of 50 mph Patagonian winds in late April. The tent is light enough for one person to carry. We experienced zero condensation on the inside. Setup and pack time is very quick. Great ventilation due to all the mesh. Plenty of head and arm room for three 6 footers. I am very happy I bought from Marmot.
