The Mammut Supersafe Evo 10.2mm Rope is a single rope for sport, big wall, and crack climbing. The rope has a very low impact force, which effectively minimizes the impact on the safety chain in the event of a fall. This makes the Supersafe Evo work well for trad climbing. The COATINGfinish treatment reduces friction, allowing the rope to glide against rock easier as well as provide water and dirt protection. I bet some of those mountain goats wish they had a rope like this.

Super Durable, but Heavy!I did the research on this one and many other ropes before landing on this rope. The specs blew all of the other ropes out of the water. It is clear that this is the safest rope. I have taken it to the Red and have found that hauling it around in my rope bag is not a problem, but it does get heavy while on routes. By the time I hit the top of a lead route, with little energy left, lifting the rope takes effort. A lighter rope would be better for lead, but if you aren't using the rope for climbing, definitely go for this one. Even if you are using the rope for climbing, if you can lift it, buy it.

Kind of heavy but worth the weightGot this rope a little over a year ago. It has been abused on several occasions and has come through unscathed. The sheath is durable but not too stiff making handling a joy. the bright coloring (mine is orange) has been really nice on snow climbs in the fog... ,,At 10.2 mm it may be a bit on the heavy side, but I have lugged it many miles off trail through the unforgiving PNW coastal rain forest and i never felt the weight was all that bad compared to the quality of its performance.

Great solid rope, just a little stiffI've had this rope for a few years now and have only really used it when I need something extremely reassuring (ie if doing a terrifying route and the last thing I want on my mind is the thought of a thin rope snapping). This baby is tough as nails, but it's also pretty stiff and therefore can be a bit of a pain to belay with. It sure makes you feel safe though, almost like you're leading with a steel cable attached to you!
