"Great rope at a great price! My #1 pick of ropes!" 01/23/13
These ropes are great especially for the price! This is my 3rd Mammut rope and I love their ropes! Their prices are super good, they handle well - take knots easily and untie easily even after being weighted! They wear super well - I just love these ropes! My last 2 were the Eiger model and I love them! I only wish they would make some truly wild colors yet!I give ALL of their ropes a 5-star rating!I own another rope from a US manufacturer that cost more than this one didalbeitet it's a fancier color!) but it doesn't handle HALF as well as these ropes do!BUY IT! You won't be disappointed! They wear like iron!
"Great beginning rope" 02/05/12
The supernova is a great rope for a great price. It does not have anything fancy about it but is good at doing what it needs to. I use it primarily for top roping and it has performed as expected. I live in a dry climate so don't need the extra treatment on the rope but it is holding up well anyway. I would have to say you won't find a better rope for the price. The bag is really a tarp but works very well as a floor to protect the rope from dirt and feet.

I have the 10.5mm version of this rope, in retrospect I wish I would have gotten the 10.2 or 10mm version. The rope is solid, and has a nice middle marker. I will say that it gets your hands dirty very easily from all the aluminum it collects in its sheath, much more so than other ropes I have used, so be aware of this. For the price you can't beat this rope, I haven't had any experience with the rope bag this comes with but it's an added bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this rope again.
"Fantastic beginners rope for a great price" 12/22/11
Picked up this piece of equipment for some sport climbing and i havent been disappointed yet. Its got good weight and is pretty easy to handle. Plus the bag is nice to carry around the rope and some other quickdraws and misc gear.

I got this rope the week before a big climbing trip. I'm kind of a new climber and have wanted a rope since the end of last summer. I went all summer without one and decided that I really wanted a rope. Did my research, asked around my more experienced friends and they suggested this rope. So far, it has been great. It doesn't kink or twist strangely and it feels good when I'm belaying friends. The down-side is the fall rating, which is kind of low, even for a rope at this price. But I don't plan on falling too terribly often so I figure this rope should last me a while!

For the price you can not go wrong with this bad boy. been using it for sport climbing and has not snapped on a fall so bonus and can only mean its good at its job.Rope bag is a little sloppy, and would be nice to have two different tabs to tie off on but again price was ace as it was free with the rope.
"Great beginner rope" 08/30/11
This is the first rope that i have bought. The 10 mm thickness is perfect for my ATC and the rope is very flexible and easy to tie knots. The bag and tarp are AWESOME. And all of this for a great price, all in all im very impressed!
