I have this helmet as a spare for taking my friends who do not climb to the crag. Some have large heads, some small. The adjustability on this helmet is excellent, but because of this it looses some security. When I wear the helmet it flops around a bit on my head, and often the helmet is crooked in pictures. The weight is also mostly on the top of the head so it is not as comfortable as the lightweight foam helmets. A good, cheap helmet though, and fits a variety of head sizes.
Fantastic helmet! I love how easy it is to adjust. I can easily wear something under the helmet on chilly mornings, and my pony tail slips right through the opening in the back with out changing the way the helmet fits. Plus it's a bitchin color!
This helmet fits reasonably well and is comfortable enough to wear all day. It does sit a bit high on the head and isn't the most photogenic helmet but it will save you from a falling rock. Also a headlight is held very securely by the clips on the helmet.
I love this helmet because it's very confortable and it will stay in your head. You can put a flash light on it with no problem. When I'm climbing i have never hit my head but you never know. I feel safer with it on. While caving this helmet has saved me from a lot of pain because in some places when you lift your head you will hit the roof or some rocks and trust me you want one of these protecting you..
If you hate having your thinking mush splattered all over a dark cave with the possibility of zombies running amuck, then buy this helmet. It does a fine job keeping your noggin intact and fits very well despite how large mine happens to be. The only sucky part is that the cloth material is hard to clean if you are getting muddy, but what's the point of wearing this thing if you aren't planning on getting down and dirty in the first place. Keep the zombies at bay and buy Mammut. You don't want to be the next member of The Walking Dead do you?
