Brilliant innovation; replaces the lanternI camp A LOT and was always envious of the people with those clever, battery-powered Black Diamond lanterns. However, if you have this, you just attach it to your headlamp and all of a sudden, you have one too. What you can't see from the picture is it has a reflective dishy thing in the middle that spreads the light. Much lighter than carrying a lantern. Really good idea! Plus, the headlamps used AAA batteries (instead of AA, like the BD lanterns), so if you need to carry extra, they're a good bit lighter.
