"These are the lightest around!" 01/22/12

I'm not a chick. But, if your looking for the lightest snowshoes around these are it. It's true, a pound on your foot is 6-7 on your back. I have the 25'' and its more than I'll ever need, but still one of the lightest around. I live in Colorado and if your out snowshoeing, chances are you going up or down hill. The televator bar is excellent, which make them a great mountaineering snowshoe. Not only for chicks.

"Slice N Dice Baby!!" 12/30/10

These snowshoes (although for my girlfriend, I have the mens version) are the big daddy bomb of snow shoes. Nothing compares to cross plowing some uncut fresh alpine snow tracks. The lateral edge grip is what makes these shoes stand out above the tubular fashion friendly adversaries. The serrated aluminum edge is composed of saber tooth edge spikes that dig it when traversing edgy alpine slopes. These are not for the flat lander big foot water wing wearing posers...these shoes focus on the back-country slope shreading. I'm not sure our 3 month old pooch feels the same. I stepped on his leg when he was submarining through the 2 foot powder...outch. MSR should put shark fins on these things.
