"Excellent, easy to use stove" 12/12/11
This stove is fantastic. It is very easy to use and light, no messing about with priming or liquid fuel. Compared to my previous gas stove (MSR Pocket Rocket) it is much better, no worries about stability and much more efficient on fuel use, especially in bad weather, thanks to the wind shield.
"Excellent canister stove" 11/14/11
I bought this to replace an old Coleman camping stove of a similar design. What I love about the WindPro is that you can actually simmer with it. The Coleman had only two settings: full blast and off. It folds down to a pretty small size and it's very stable with a pot on top.
"Great stability for larger pots and bomb-proof construction" 06/08/11
I believe this is one of the best stoves you can buy out there. Since the fuel canister sits off to the side, it makes the center of gravity super low which makes the stove stability extremely... lets say stable. It is not the smallest stove out the there, but the legs do all come together to compact down its size. It is much more stronger than any of the minimalist stoves out there and will last you years!
"Its Sex, Slender, and best of all Its Easy!" 11/18/10
No doubt its one of the easiest stoves to use! It involves no pumping or priming or any nonsense! You turn the knob and you can cook like Emeril anywhere in the world! It simmers nicely or can boil water super fast. Way better than any other stove!
"Easy use , super power ,light weight" 05/28/10
You can't go wrong with MSR, this windpro stove doubles my trust again. Compare it to my last stove yellowstone by primus and other stove bought from British, the others are powerful as well, but this one is more suitable for high mountain use. The wind shield is useful, I am never bothered by naughty wind again, buy it, u never regret on msr.
"Best MSR Product" 12/17/09
Everything about this product is great...burn time with small canister, boil time, heat control, setup/teardown, size, cleanup...everything...I used this same stove on a 5 day backpacking trip with only one large canister...the other canister I took was extra weight for nothing...the only stove that is better than this is alcohol stoves but if your into the market for something other than alcohol or tablets, get this one...
"Strong, small, light, and sits apart from the fuel can for peace of mind." 11/05/09
No more visions of horror to see a full pot teetering unbalanced atop a stove sitting high on a fuel can. Bomb and dumb proof, sturdy and durable, small and light; if it was a woman, I'd marry it. Just bring a source of ignition. Comes with an aluminum wind block and an aluminum floor base (a poor man's MSR Trillium base), both of which fold flat with ease.
"Awesome Stove!" 09/14/09
I first used the MSR whisperlite stove and recently purchased the WindPro. It's amazing ... it's very balanced, very light weight, and is safer for me to use to teach students. I really do love this stove and haven't found any cons, so far.
"Highly Recommended" 08/13/09
The only downside to this stove is that it uses propane which at best is a derivative and at worst is a non-renewable fuel....However, according to Hubbert we still have plenty of time to burn propane, and this stove is quick, safe, light, and very hot. If you are thinking about cooking on uneven surfaces or in weather I would suggest getting a remote stove instead of a canister mounted burner.
