"Great Stove But..." 06/17/13
When I purchased the stove the description didn't mention having or not having the fuel canister. So when it was pictured it was not that far of an assumption to think it was included. This is still a great stove and wouldn't have gotten another one.
"the perfect stove love it" 05/27/13
Who hasn't used a whisper light? I love them they're great for everything from one night stints to a 45-day trip my whisper lights have always held up. One of the best features is with a little practice the entire stove can be taken apart, cleaned, and put back together. So before you start shelling out money for a brand new one look online and learn how to service them so while you're on your trip and the stove stops working you know just what to do. If you're willing the stoves last forever you might as well get a universal. They're great for if you aren't too concerned with weight. I know people prefer jet boils if they want to go ultra light, but if you're car camping you might as well get a good old coleman two burner. They can take a beating if you buy the stove maybe get a stove base plate they're really nice for adding stability. Stability is big for me with a big pot of boiling water on top of my stove.

"Bought this 19 years ago and still use it today" 05/05/13
Used propane before this stove and had to sleep with the bottle to make the stove work on cold mornings. This Whisperlite has worked great in every situation. Cold or hot temps, high or low elevation, this thing always works. Flame is easy to control, has long burn time for any kind of cooking, boils water fast. There are lighter weight stoves to choose from, but I carry the extra weight for the no hassle at hungry time. The fuel also is helpful when trying to start a fire in the rain.
"Great and Durable" 04/26/13
My friend owns one of these and we use it everytime we go camping. We have used it on a windy mountain top and in the dead of a Montana winter. It has never failed us and has always been easy to set up. The nice thing with the fuel system is it is open to different fuel types and can be refilled yourself making fuel slightly cheaper than that of a jetboil.
"Great middle of the road stove" 03/27/13
There are a ton of stoves out there, but few have the proven record of this stove. It does anything and everything you want it to. You can field strip it it. Clean it in soap and water. It's a liquid fuel stove which has a huge upside in long term cost. It takes some finesse to simmer, but a little practice and that's achievable. Light enough for soloing, but big enough for group cooking. I carried one to Philmont 15 years ago and still carry the same one. This is the stove for you!
"Great for long trips" 03/15/13
With the Whisperlite you dont need to worry about being stoveless deep in the backcountry. This stove is very easy to repair, and comes with a full (but mini) repair kit. It is also very light on fuel, a container can last a lot longer than expected. A great product and u would recommend it to and camper.

"Brilliant Stove!" 02/04/13
This stove is perfect for someone who wants a reliable, white gas stove that is capable of cooking food for almost any amount of people. I have cooked large pots of dinner for 17 people with this stove, and it never disappoints. Storing it is a breeze, but get a wind guard with it to help make cooking faster and easier.
"Good, reliable stove" 02/02/13
The WhisperLite is a fantastic stove that will work in just about any environment. I have never had a single issue int he two years I have owned one. The stove is simple to ignite, even in windier conditions. My only complaint with the stove is that the flame control isn't fine tuned. It is very difficult to have the flame low enough to just simmer something without the flame going out. Other than that, this stove is very durable and will pack up easily into your pot.
