"Great multi-fuel expedition stove" 03/09/12

Lightweight, multi-fuel stove with simmer and fast boil capability. MSR has produced this stove for decades and it still is one of the top selling.

"Great, dependable multi-fuel stove" 02/08/12

Overall a great stove. Heats quickly, boils fast, and can be used with your choice of cookware. This stove is a bit more difficult to use than some models and types, and involves some setup to use, but it is a time-tested design and can be repaired and cleaned in the field. I've had mine for two years, and over time the included heat sheilds wear out a lot (just thin aluminum that folds up for travel), but better shields are available to buy. This is where MSR is pricey--the repair kit and higher end heat shields, as well as fuel bottles are all sold separatley. This is my biggest criticism is having to buy the extras.
