"Girlfriends New Spooning Partner." 01/04/12
Pretty much as good as a spoon can get. Especially if your utilizing a MSR stove, which is why you probably picked it up to begin with. Might pick up another shorter spoon that fits inside my pot. Only wishes would be a spork option, and to be made in USA (only because I thought MSR products were supposed to be). Its lighter than the receipt that came with it; could have been shipped in an envelope.
"Great spoon, but not for cooking" 08/30/11
This spoon is awesome and fairly lightweight. Although I haven't used the tool to take apart my Whisperlite yet I've found it to be great for eating. The spoon's curve holds a supple amount of re-hydrated food.If you're looking for a good Jet Boil cooking spoon, I'd suggest the Backcountry long handled titanium spoon over this one. If you're looking for a good eating spoon, I have no complaints with the MSR Titan Tool Spoon.
"I'd rather carry the tool." 04/09/10
I got this with the minimalist approach that combining my spoon and stove tool would save weight and bulk in my pack. I was wrong. While it makes it impossible to lose the tool, the spoon is in need of redesign. The spoon is too big, uncomfortable in my mouth, the handle gets gunked up easily and is hard to field-clean, the tool end scratches my pots, and the tool is missing parts necessary to maintaining my MSR fuel pump. It could be worse, but it's certainly not worth the cost. I'll be going back to my cheap plastic spoon and factory-supplied stove tool.
"Light and functional spoon" 08/19/08
Light and functional. Only gripe is that it's not a sporK! If you're going to pitch the fork and carry only a spoon, then combine that with a tool, you might as well take it one step further and make it a spork. Maybe next year. o Great for what it is though! If you need a strong, light spoon then this is a sure bet.
"spoon lickin good" 07/10/07
great spoon, haven't used the tools yet but they do seem to work with msr stoves. like that the spoon actually has a good dip to it so you can dig in to your mac-n-cheese or whatever on the trail. verry light and sturdy enough to hold up to abuse
"Great Utilitarian Device" 11/14/06
What a great utilitarian piece of equipment. Not only is this spoon super light but it is also a great tool for fixing your MSR stove, digging a latrine, or just plain ballancing on your nose while you are waiting for your food to cook. Does everything I need it to.
"Nice spoon, but you might do better elsewhere." 10/10/05
Lightweight, nigh-indestructible, and shiny! This titanium spoon also acts as a wrench and tool for and MSR camping stove. While it is generallly a good buy, I found it to be a little expensive. Ecspecially since there are no fork tines. A titanium spork by MSR would be great.
