Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spork Its a extremely durable spork... I travel and move constantly so having something that is so small and randomly appears when I need it is awesome. I bought 2 (black and orange) and love them. ,,,,One small thing I will say is that after one trip where much of the food was heavy in spices the black spork part started to discolor a bit. I still havent been able to get rid of the color but there is no odor or problems associated with it. I have tried soaking and rubbing but it didn't work. My other one is fine it was not with me on that trip and I will use them both constantly. Owned these for a year and still going strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Stews! Stews are tricky because they're not quite soups, and they're not quite...whatever the opposite of soup is. They generally come in bowls and have some liquid in them, so at first you're thinking, "ok this is a job for a spoon." But then there might be some solid chunks that would just be easier to stab with some sort of prong or tine. Well, that's more in the fork's wheelhouse. If only there was some way to get the best of both worlds! Enter the spork - the perfect hybrid utensil for those tricky stews. Mine's blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its all about the length! The MSR spork is one of my fave items on the trail because its super lightweight, folds up small, and locks in tight when in use. What I really like about this thing is the length! It allows you to easily stir up your food inside tall pots. Eating Mountain House meals can be tricky...but not anymore with the MSR dont have to worry about getting your hand or sleeve messed up with food thanks to that long shaft. Just sayn'....this thing works and you cant go wrong with the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Long, packs well, a little flimsy Compared to my Ti forks and sporks, this folding plastic spork feels a little cheap. I don't think I'm going to get as many trips out of it when it comes to durability. However, for the price, it's still a good value and it has the advantage of being significantly longer than my Ti pieces while still packing well when folded. It's nice for getting down to the bottom of a boiling meal on the stove. But for eating out of a cup or shallow pot, I still prefer the sturdier Ti options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never leave home without it The two best things about this spork are that it folds down (you can take the two pieces apart, too, if you want) and that it's extra-long. The extra length makes it great for eating out of freeze-dried food pouches. Having lost a titanium spork before due to being unable to pick it out from the vegetation where I dropped it, I also like that this one available with an orange handle, which is great for visibility.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Used this throughout West Coast USA and the middle East I Used this MSR spork for 2 months backpacking through Canadian Rockies, Montana, and Idaho. Very ideal for spooning hot or cold camp gruel into your mouth for energy and sustenance. It is lightweight, foldable! so takes up half it's full length space, and fairly sturdy. I have had no issues with it breaking. Just don't bend it the wrong way. Ultimately, all you could want in a spork!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lightweight sturdy spork This spork isn't as light as one of those free fast food sporks, but when opened its definitely longer and its much more durable. Its long enough to eat out of those freeze-dried food pouches with out sticking your dirty hands in 'em. Plus, you can store it in even the tiniest pots. Durable enough to survive a thru-hike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Folds down to a nice compact size Spork is long enough to use as a stirring spoon without burning those fingers. It measures about 9" long and 4.75" when folded. Its also pretty easy to clean since you can snap apart the handle and spork to get into those nook and crannies. Its a pretty good damn spork.
