The MSR Revo Explore Snowshoes are comfortable snowshoes for long winter treks. The ExoTract deck combines light plastic with MSR's classic exterior traction to provide you with just enough flex for a deeper grip as you traverse over the snowy fields and up into the mountains. The steel Pivot crampons increase traction in various terrain. Making the all-day adventures more comfortable is the new HyperLink bindings. The HyperLink wraps your foot in a cozy little cradle and the two straps ratchet down to your preferred tightness. Uh oh, did you ratchet one notch too many? No problem, just tape the red side buttons one after another to loosen. Once you have the straps set for your boots, you only have to release the top strap when removing the shoes for quick entry and exit at camp.

Solid feel, quick bindingsI bought these before the start of winter 2014. The snow year was awful and I only used them 3 times. However, The few times I got out were bluebird powder days. The bindings took a few tires to really get my foot where it worked best for me, but since then its been a breeze. I am usually the first in and out of my snowshoes on trips. The bindings occasionally squeak at the pivot point but its usually only for a short bit. These have great traction for all terrain. In deep, fresh powder the tails would be very useful but that can be said of any shoe out there. Definitely a great made product.

Another Great Piece of EquipmentFantastic, very comfortable, light weight, the list goes on. These shoes are awesome. I am big guy and they have held up great so far. I wear a size 14 boot, they are fairly tall and pretty wide in the toe, hunting boots really. The toe straps are at the very edge so I ordered a replacement set of straps and am using the 8.5" ones for both the front and rear straps. That is my only complaint, not really too much of an issue as it can be easily resolved. The heel risers are a nice touch for climbing long hills. Another great product from MSR!

Good except for HyperLink bindingsI bought a pair of Revo Explores last fall and used them on five outings this winter before taking them back and exchanging them. The problem is the HyperLink bindings which, I understand, are new this year. The ratchet release is very convenient, but there is a design flaw in how the bindings conform to the foot. The rivet and ridged plastic that encases the front part of the boot kept digging in to my left foot going downhill. The result: blisters and blood and some pretty sore little toes on my left foot! I thought at first they just needed to be broken in. Then I thought, well, maybe it's my boot. I bought a new pair of winter boots a half-size larger. That helped but not much. So I think MSR needs to work on these bindings. I like the ratchet attachment. Very nice. But the rest of the binding toward the front has problems.

QualityI got the Revo explores for Christmas and have been very pleased. Before Christmas I spent a couple of week researching various brands and styles. MSR stuck out. The biggest reason I picked these over others is the unique side rail design and the bidding. The bidding is comfortable and easy to adjust with the micro adjustments. The side rail gives exceptional traction especially when walking across hills. The entire shoe torques slightly including the side rail causing the entire shoe to make contact with the hill side. Overall, very pleased and will most definitely buy for MSR in the future.

First pair of snowshoesGot these for Christmas 2015 and have put about 18 miles on them. Very comfortable snowshoes. Have had not one instance with them coming off my feet. Excellent traction.
Only complaint is that the front or toe hyperlink binding straps are too short for wearing with heavy insulated boots. Pac boots were out of the question and a pair of 800 gram Danner Pronghorns barely fit. Had to purchase the the replacement strap kit and swap out the 6.5" toe straps with the longer 8.5" heel straps. I wear size 12.5 regular boot. If you wear a boot any larger be prepared to do the mod that I did.

Fast, Light, and EasyWe have 10 pairs of these snowshoes. They are my favourite snowshoes we have ever owned. The are fast to put on, easy to instruct others on use, and fairly light for long days on the snowshoes. The only issue I have with them is that so far 4 release buckles on the new binding systems have snapped off in the -30 celcius temperatures we are having this year.

Go Anywhere Snowshoes! This is my first year snowshoeing. I did my research and decided on the Revo Explore snowshoes. They have not disappointed me yet! Although suitable for beginners these snowshoes will also keep up with the more adventuresome hiker as well. The easy to get into and adjust bindings are comfortable and supportive and I always have both snowshoes on and am always ready to go well before my friends have been able to fumble through their fist foot on a lesser set of shoes and bindings. These snowshoes can almost climb a vertical wall with the superior grip they have with the cleats all around the exterior frame. I would definitely recommend this set of snowshoes to anyone in the market for a new pair. Well worth the money. You won't be disappointed.

AwesomeI have been out a few times in these snowshoes and I can tell you that they are awesome. MSR also has great customer service. These snowshoes come with (2015 version) come with 8 inch straps in the front and 6 inch straps in the back. If you have a bigger foot like I do these snowshoes will not fit. I was kind of bummed about it so I emailed MSR and they sent 10 inch straps(for free) to put on the front of the binding, and you move the 8 inch to the back. These snowshoes are a great value and I am glad that I made the purchase.
