Pot is good, cup is uselessThe pot is the perfect size for one person with a large appetite, or two light eaters. It holds enough water for two reasonably-sized cups of coffee. I've used it every summer for about two years now, and it seems to be holding up well. I keep my folding spork, my pocket stove, a mini salt/pepper shaker, and a bottle of Mio inside of it, so it doesn't waste a lot of space. My only complaint is about the cup. The cup is too small to be useful, and such an odd shape that it takes up the whole inside of the pot with a lot of unusable space around it. The lid just slides on, so if you knock it over, everything inside spills. My advice: save the $10 and buy the pot by itself, and use the extra money to buy a separate cup.

Gets the job doneI used this on a recent backpacking trip with 2 other guys for boiling water for soup/oatmeal. It would have been been big enough for all three of us if one guy didn't have a gigantic cup for soup and usef way too much water. The handle itself seems kind of flimsy, so ill have to see how it holds up in the long run. The pot has a little hook opposite the handle to help secure the lid down. The lid also has two raised bumps in it to 'lock' onto the hook, and when storing the pot the handle folds up and with a turn of the lid locks the handle onto the top lid handle which is nice.

I like this set for solo hiking because I cook simply when I'm alone. Not great for otherwise. The pot is the star of this set because it is a really good cook pot. The mug i can take or leave and I often leave it for a sea to summit. The detachable handle is nice for use with other pots made by MSR. Good pot. The mug is whatever
