"Awesome stove" 05/10/12
You cant beat this stove for the money its very small it has good flame control and is virtually maitnence free I recently used it while the power was out after a storm to boil some hot dogs for dinner makes for an awesome cigar lighter to.
"muy bueno! me gusta" 03/20/12
though it may be a little tippy seeming i've had no problems. being able to simmer is also really nice instead of just full inter-continental ballistic missile which is also nice to be able to boil your tea, coffee, or dried food. in like 4 minutes no kidding 4 minutes. cant go wrong packs real small, relativity cheap, amazing buy.
"Awesome!" 03/02/12
I love this stove. It's great for trips where you don't want much weight and need all the space you can get. On top of that it's really efficient. The last thing you want to do after a long day of hiking is weight on your food to cook. This stove takes care of that problem. Great addition to my gear!
"Great lightweight option" 01/21/12
I usually take my whisperlite on trips but for a truly lightweight alternative I keep this perennial favorite as well. There's a reason this puppy has so much positive feedback. For me it's always been very stable and cooks well. Hot spot really isn't an issue since all I use it for is liquid meals.
"Perfect for my uses" 01/12/12
I haven't compared boiling times or done any serious comparison between the pocketrocket and some other model, but I have used it on numerous multiday backcountry trips and can confidently say that this stove is perfect for what I need it to do. The thing is really simple to operate, it boils water within a couple minutes, and above all it's really small and light. I've cooked with this in driving rain and wind and it does not blow out easily.I don't think you can go wrong with this little baby, unless you're looking for something more technical and a lot more expensive.
"Amazing stove and value!" 01/08/12
Never had an issue lighting this and its gone from backcountry hiking to canoe trips to cycle tours. Wind can be a major limiting factor but with strategic placement of rocks and backpacks, its no longer an issue. This is a no fail stove that you can't beat for the price.
