"Soak It Up" 08/15/11
MSR towels are by far the best on the market. They are soft, super absorbent and have a handy snap to hang dry on pretty much anything. the M size is perfect for me, big enough to get most of me dry, but small enough where it is not a burden to pack. The pack bag that it comes with is a nice touch, preventing it from being lost or snagged inside a pack. washing it as soon as you get it makes it super soft right off the bat. Great towel and definetley worth the money!
"Ford Prefect would shfitz a gold brick for this towel" 08/14/11
I've had mine for four years, dries stupid-fast, doesn't get moldy-smelly quickly, packs light and small, and feels awesome when you bust the leg floss move. No accounting for smell after that point, though.
"Awesome Travel Towel" 08/08/11
I used this towel while traveling through hostels in Europe and while backpacking. It's a great towel that gets me dry after a shower or day in the river. It isn't the softest thing but, washing it a few times softens it up a bit.
"Strong and durable" 07/25/11
It was a little stiff when it arrived but a quick round in the washing machine helped soften it up. This thing was soft enough for toweling off after rinsing off in stream as well as absorbent enough for sopping up a giant puddle of water in my tent. It's tough, even with vigorous twisting. Dries decently fast. Worked great for wiping off wet gear, squeeze-drying wet hair after a shower, folded up as a pot holder when cooking, etc. The size is perfect for backpacking and has a snap closure loop for hang off a clothesline or a pack for drying. The mesh bag lets it air out, but I would have preferred a snap closure over the tiny velcro one.
"This towel can save your life..." 04/21/11
The MSR packtowl orig. is simply effective. I've had mine for over a year now, used it through backpacking trips of up to 3 months at a time in the middle east as well as the regular camping trips up to a week, and it has honestly been one of the best bangs for my buck in terms of use and functionality. It wicks away water from your body easily, and dries very quickly. It is super light and actually durable, if you're someone who wants to cut weight but plans on swimming or getting soaked, this is perfect, esp. for the price.
"college shower towl that gets high!" 08/31/10
Towly from south park! Sweet towl dries quick even in my shisty mandatory air conditioned dorm. While my roomates towls never dry because its so cold mine nice, fresh and dry in the morning. Remember how the towl unfold when you get it because getting back in the black back can be tricky unless your a pro map folder.
"Very useful" 05/24/10
I bought one of these and cut it in half, one to use to dry pots and such and the other as a body towel. Very sastified with the lightweight and quickdrying aspects of this towel. Do yourself a favor and wash it once or twice before taking it out the first time, it will soften it up.
"Excellent, absorbant towel." 04/09/10
This towel sees regular use in my backpacking kit, car-camping kit, jumping-in-lakes kit, and commuting kit. Oh, and it's also good for showering. I got the medium size. It doesn't quite make it around my waist, but I found it plenty large enough for any other purpose. It's super absorbent, so assuming I shake off first, it dries me off, no problem. Wrings out about 95% dry. Folds down flat and small. I always carry it when camping in rainy conditions; it works great as a tent sponge.
