"Good soap, bad bottle" 04/22/10
The soap is great and works well on just about everything: dishes clothes, body, but the top leaks a little, and because the soap is so concentrated it is hard to get off of things when it leaks.

The MSR packsoap is a concentrated liquid and only a few drops are needed to be added to water to create a powerful soapy solution that will get out most grime and smells from travel-worn clothing. A must for independent travellers or overnight hikers who want to wear clean socks each day, free from sweat and therefore not cause blisters.

My fiance and I wanted to pack as little as possible, but wanted to make sure we were able to keep somewhat clean and refreshed on a four day trek. I picked up this biodegradable soap at Moosejaw for a great price. This stuff is super concentrated, so a little drop will wash your hair, face, and much of you extremeties. Plus, we were able to practice "leave no trace ethics."

smells good, and laidys love it when you haven't have a bath for week, you should have one of this every time you go out of babylon, to the jungle, to the river, to the sea, to the mountain, and remember to wash your self you probably stink!

I purchased the Packsoap for my trip on the French River. A week in the wild doesn't have to leave you smelling wild. Though fragrance-free, the soap delivered as promised and left me feeling clean and refreshed! I would purchase this again and again, but because you only need a small amount I think this bottle will last me a while. Funny aside, the girl running the cash register asked me if I smelled the soap before I decided to buy it and I told her, No. She laughed and said she was conducting a survey and was realizing that guys buy soaps without concern of the scent. After I got the bottle home and read that there wasn't any scent I really got a chuckle and will probably head back to

The flip cap is easy to open/close, and allows controlled pouring without spilling all over. And the soap is unscented, so you wouldn't smell like cocoa butter or whatever after washing.

eventhough it's supposed to be ultra concentrated, i wouldn't recommend it for washing machine use just suck it up and either hand wash with this or buy some detergant. that said, it's still great for the longer trips when you run out of bodywash, hand soap, shampoo, etc.
