I recently helped a buddy of mine here at MJ pick out a new tent, and he ended up picking the MSR Nook 2 Person Tent. He's mainly thinking of using it for himself and his dog, but it has plenty of livable room for two humans. Weighing in at just over 3lb, it is an ultralight tent option for two people, and definitely manageable on solo trips (when you want a little extra room). The durable fabrics and welded reinforcements allow the Nook to stand up to the elements or dog paws. The single vestibule and front entry design offers a streamlined design that saves weight and can be set up in small backcountry sites. Great for you and your best friend, be it man or canine.

great for tall skinny people who like breathable thingsI had the good fortune of borrowing one of these from a friend. Several of us were just car-camping so I can't accurately comment on weight or packability, but set-up was a breeze. As two person tents go this is on the small side. The length and headroom were great (and I am a tall dude), but the width would make it a bit of a squeeze for two (being the lone occupant, it was perfect for a roomy bivy).,,What struck me most was the breathability. we had a mildly cold night with some rain that was quickly warmed up by the sun in the morning, but at no point was there any moisture or temperature related discomfort.

Easy to set up, quick to dry out, simple to pack!I've spent countless nights in one of these, Its been through a full weekend of rain, a week long of high heat and a tonne more weekends than just that. Its make up and tear down is really basic, you don't need a footprint or extra tarp to keep it off the ground, the material is heavy enough that it is hard to puncture but still light weight and quick to dry. The tent stores away into quite a small package but is roomy enough for two people to lay comfortably. The vestibule is great for storing extra equipment when your carrying a lot of expedition gear. If your looking for a good one or two person tent and your not worried about the price, the MSR Nook two person tent is the one for you!,,

Easy Set Up!I previously own the MSR Hubba and thought it was a little too small (maybe I am just a little Claustrophobic.) I then purchased the MSR Nook, the walls are a little narrow for the two person tent but it will fit two people. It is very easy to set up and take down and can be done without assistance. It is very light, less than 2 lbs/person. All in all I would highly recommend this tent.
