Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, quick boil time, perfect for an avid adventurer! I have used this stove for quite a few trips, its so compact and light that at one point I forgot that had had it in my bag! This stove has a few upgrades from the original Pocket Rocket, the hinges are much stronger and it holds the pot with quite a bit more stability, I can turn my back while cooking and not have to worry about losing the pot or pan. it also packs up into a smaller area. The stove also comes with a Piezo igniter which fits within the given case. The boil time i have found to be quite impressive at 3-4 minutes for 750ml (3 cups). If you're looking for a lightweight alternative to a bulky camp stove but don't want to give up performance, The MSR MicroRocket is the stove for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hot stuff I already loved the pocket rocket. This micro rocket is just as good, but even smaller. And it has a little sparking lighter. Great thing to throw in the pack for water boiling and even cooking simple meals. Fits right in my mess kit. Doesn't take up any room. Especially if you take a smaller fuel canister. Sure it can be a little unstable, but hey. You want a tiny light stove? Deal with it. Or rig up a homemade stabilizing base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light and compact I keep this stove and a bottle of fuel in my car/ truck at all times. I have used it to cook and to heat areas (we wont get into that) when unforsaken circumstances have came around. I take it camping and hiking and love it. the adjustable flame works well and it is light and compact. its not the cheapest stove of this kind on the market but quality surpasses in my opinion .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Stove with one small flaw. There are cheaper stoves out there, the similarly titled MSR Pocket Rocket being a notable example, but its not exactly expensive either. Speaking of the Pocket Rocket, after handling both, the Microrocket feels worth the extra cash: overall, it's sturdier and better built. It's hard to understand how small this stove is until you're actually holding it in your hand--definitely the main bulk of your cooking system will be determined by the size of the fuel canister and pot(s) you bring. The only disadvantage I found when using it in the field is a lack of stability, not with the base, but with the underside of certain pots. Though the handles are sufficiently large when folded out, certain surfaces will slide off them real easy despite the fact that the hands have gripping teeth. Also, after a while using this stove, the windclip became lose and started falling off but that can be fixed by bending it a little.,,,,Otherwise, an excellent purchase.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable Small Powerful Light I enjoyed my Pocket Rocket for many years until I found the Micro Rocket. They are very similar in use & function. The main differences (other than a small price difference) is that the MR is slightly lighter & smaller. The reason for the slight size difference is that the pot supports on the Micro Rocket not only fold upward, they also twist sideways. The other main difference is that the MR comes with a piezo ignitor (separate/not built into the stove). The hinges on the MR are a little more "beefy" than the PR. Both come with a triangular shaped hard plastic case. Both stoves are easily adjusted from a slight simmer (quiet) to full afterburner (loud). As I understand, they work well at high altitude. Performance degrades (especially if the canister is low) when colder than 40 degrees - a windscreen helps. The stove is very efficient. With the small (4oz) canister, I can boil about 10-15L of water in cool (40-60 deg) temperatures. Very dependable, never clogs, easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small Package, Big Performance. This stove is great for day/overnight hikes. It takes up almost zero space, and weighs next to nothing. I have melted snow using it, and purified water, as well as normal cooking. It is very well built, especially for the size. Not a fragile beast!!! It does what it's supposed to do, and does it well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great small stove So lightweight. As long as you follow instructions and dont exceed the max specs for cookware you wont have a problem. Nice little carry case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of flame! For as little as this stove is, it really puts out the power. It's really compact and easy to store in your back pack.
