I enjoyed my Pocket Rocket for many years until I found the Micro Rocket. They are very similar in use & function. The main differences (other than a small price difference) is that the MR is slightly lighter & smaller. The reason for the slight size difference is that the pot supports on the Micro Rocket not only fold upward, they also twist sideways. The other main difference is that the MR comes with a piezo ignitor (separate/not built into the stove). The hinges on the MR are a little more "beefy" than the PR. Both come with a triangular shaped hard plastic case. Both stoves are easily adjusted from a slight simmer (quiet) to full afterburner (loud). As I understand, they work well at high altitude. Performance degrades (especially if the canister is low) when colder than 40 degrees - a windscreen helps. The stove is very efficient. With the small (4oz) canister, I can boil about 10-15L of water in cool (40-60 deg) temperatures. Very dependable, never clogs, easy to use.
