Award Winner - Outside Magazine Gear of the Year Award 2014

The MSR Hubba Hubba NX 2-Person Tent is a ultralight tent for three season backpacking. The NX stands for NEXT, the next generation of the Hubba series, as it has been redesigned for 2014. The three pounds and seven ounces of the Hubba Hubba NX is the lowest weight yet, as well as offering two different fast and light modes when combined with the optional footprint. Whatever it takes to give your back respite on the trail. The color coded webbing makes for a quick and easy set up so you can clamber inside to enjoy plenty of head and shoulder room due to the symmetrical pole geometry and non-tapered floor. The two large vestibules leaves room for your gear and a friend's, with StayDry entry provided by built-in rain gutters on the rain fly. The MSR team added plenty of venting options to aid in the war against condensation, just roll up the vestibule from the bottom, open the kickstand side vents, or sleep through the night sans-vestibule. The mesh will protect you from pesky bugs. Rise early and pack up camp in a flash with the wide mouth stuff sack, cinching it tight with the attached compression straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best backpacking tents I have used Great light weight strong tent. It sets up in no time, and one combined with the foot print, makes for multiple setup options. you can use just the fly and poles as a lighter weight shelter. Have also setup pole, fly, and foot print while raining. Then was able to attach the tent under that to keep it dry inside. I live in the mid west and camp all four season. Never been disappointed with this tent. Also have been through some pretty heavy weather. I will also add that the MSR ground hog stakes are a great addition to this tent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best and lightest tent I've owned! This tent is by far the best tent I have ever used. Very light so getting around while lugging it and my other gear is easy yet it's very stable and very roomy for its size. The walls are half dome style so the door sides are straight giving you more room to sit up within the tent. I added the gear shed and carry it with me when I go biking. It's a perfect place to place two bikes (Wheels off) and our packs. The construction seems very durable and the fabric very strong. I look forward to many adventures with this tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best improved UL tent out there for two persons There is a vast improvement in this tent. By far! Brilliant design on rain gutter, guy lines, head clearance, extended fly, and access to tent. The MSR team finally put their head together on this tent. ,,Now I want to buy another solo Hubba tent for backpacking. Hubba Hubba is only 3 lbs and better which is considered light. Any tent under 3 lbs is very good for backpacking. Hubba is only 2 lbs. ,,I would buy again in a heartbeat. I'm seriously thinking of buying gear shed for car camping, not for backpacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5-Star Hotel in the Woods This tent is the 8th wonder of the world. Even with two people and gear, you don't feel the claustrophobic tight space of some 2-man tents. On my last portage trip in the northern water channels of Canada, we were storm-stayed in the tent for almost a whole day, and a few times I thought I was resting in a Hampton Suite. We took thermometer temps inside and outside the tent over the course of the two wet/cold days.. it was always roughly 18 degrees F warmer inside the tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wont ever use another tent Dec 2014, I have owned this tent for a year.,,Easy to setup. Material is lightweight and durable.,,Setting up with just the rain-fly is awesome!!,,The rain gutter works as advertised.,,Be sure to buy the don't want to get the bottom of this beautiful tent dirty!,,I have woken up with 3 feet of fresh snow surrounding my in this tent and it held up very well....but it is not a 4 season tent. ,,You have any questions about this tent....I can answer them.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Condo Camping I love this tent. I use it for my biking and running trips so it is usually just me and the gear. I love the fact it has two entry points so when that someone special does tag along they are not climbing over me in the middle of the night. Even with 2 folks it is still comfy. I have put this tent up and camped in storm conditions. I was snug as a bug and do not feel claustrophobic. Easy break down and pack up for a quick get away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly light and awesome tent, definitely Gear of Year approved! We set this tent up in 2 minutes. Literally. It was so simple, and the weight of this tent is magnificent. We purchased mainly based upon reviews and Outdoor Magazine's seal of approval. The material is excellent, but we didn't have much wind, so that wasn't tested. You might think this tent is tiny, but it fit two average size humans and a 100lb German Shepherd with ease. We were cozy and warm in 30 degree temps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a very light and spacious 2+ person tent I've slept in this tent a few times now. By myself, with one of my kids, and with both of my (small) kids. Even with the three of us in there, we weren't bumping into the sides. It's seriously a comfortable tent for two people and you're nearly swimming in it by yourself. The footprint should be included by so what, that's life, cough up the ~$50 and get the footprint (and add the weight). ,,,,I've owned the Hubba (1 person) before, and what I can comment on in particular is this guy is a bit more involved to set up. The rainfly is also *tight*, so get ready to get frustrated when you go to put the fourth attachment point on. The benefit is that it's drum-tight, and will probably loosen up over time (the fly-to-corner straps are adjustable as well). ,,,,Basically, this is "my" tent for everything but mountaineering. I'd even take it into the winter world as long as the forecast was clear.
