"I totally love the MSR Hubba 1 Person Tent. This summer I hiked the Shore to Shore trail across Michigan with other fellas from Moosejaw. It took us 10 days to complete the trek and I couldn't have been more impressed with this tent. Amazing to say the least. The Hubba 1 is super easy to set up and pack up, and the wind stood no chance of disrupting my slumber inside this thing, similar to that pig whose house was made of bricks. Inside the vestibule there was plenty of room for my pack, and while inside the tent I could sit up without hitting my head on the ceiling and I'm about 6'1" (not to boast). A superb tent overall!"

"Sure, the MSR Hubba is not what one would consider "ultra-light," but the tent is bomb-proof, sets up in less than two minutes, is really easy to set up in the dark, and looks very sexy in pictures. It's even good for stealth camping without the fly, if you know what stealth camping is."

"One of the best 1 person tent" 04/29/12
I like this product because it is roomy for a single person. It has good ventilation with no condensation and pretty much sturdy against moderate wind. I love this tent. It is stylish, easy to set up, light weight, durable. Highly recomended.
ACONCAGUA STATUS"Sweets to the nth degree" 01/01/12
This tent cannot be beat when considering price, weight, and trail side prestige. I intentionally waited until the weather sucked to break this guy out. WInds in the 20mph's gusts to the 40's, temps in the high 30's F, moderate to heavy rain. Pretty much crap weather. I was warm (some of this can be attributed to my MH gear), dry and nearly wind free. I have NO complaints.
"One of the best" 12/07/11
I had an MSR tent before that wasn't free standing and it was kinda a pain if you were by yourself. This being a free standing tent is awesome and is sooooo easy to put up and take down. Best tent I have bought in a long time.
"Great lightweight solo tent" 11/25/11
I got this tent last summer and have used it on multiple occasions. The tent is very versatile because it can be used with just the rainfly or with the actual tent itself. Carrying the rainfly and groundcloth (sold separately) is a great option during the summer. When weight is not as much of an issue using the entire tent offers bug protection. Overall I would recommend this tent to anyone looking for a 3 season solo tent.
"Awesome 1P tent" 07/22/11
I have both the 2p and 1p versions of this tent. Both are fantastic. Setup is wicked fast and even with the footprint it's super light. One of my favorite features is that you can set the entire thing up from under the rain fly, so if the weather takes a sudden turn you can get out of the elements first and work backwards from there. Space-wise, I'm 5'9 and have just enough room to roll out my sleeping pad and still be able to put my pack at the end, and vertically there's plenty of room a couple of people to sit up and play cards and/or talk about mid-nineteenth century philosophers. Bottom line, if you're looking for a great, lightweight solo tent you need look no further.
"I can sit up in this tent withOUT my head rubbing on the ceiling." 06/28/11
I compared the Marmot Eos 1p and this tent side by side in my living room. (Specs seemed like they were very similar). The Eos 1p has a very narrow top, and I couldn't sit up in it without having both sides of my head encased in mesh (I'm 5'8"). This tent with it's top center pole makes quite a bit of difference; there was plenty of room to sit up. In addition, the door was slightly bigger (takes up more of the side of the tent than the Eos), which was nice for slipping my thermarest pad in and out while inflated and will likely be nice getting in and out. Can't wait to field test it.
"Very light, well made, super fast setup" 06/25/11
Very easy to setup, 1 pole, doesnt matter which end goes where as both ends are dimensionally the same. When setup the mesh is all tight, no sagging, and inside there is plenty of headroom (im 6ft) and am able to laydown without touching the ends. Nice sized vestibule, enough to fit some gear, and well made zippers with the quiet pulls so no noise when its windy. ** important** if you want a gear loft go with the mtn hardwear triangle, or north face triangle gear lofts sold here on moosejaw, both fit well, the mtn hrdwr is way bigger (and if your clever enough to add some do-dads from old ski gloves like i did it will sinch up just like the north face one does)
"Love the Hubba 1!" 06/01/11
I bought this for my upcoming AT thru-hike and have used it on several section hikes so far. Set up is a no-brainer with super lightweight poles and clips. It shrugged off some gusts of around 30-35 knots with wind-driven rain from a passing front. Noisy but solid! I'm 5-11 and 197lbs. My 20deg bag fits like a charm, and I love the vestibule. It is cut so that rain doesn't drip onto my bag and pad. The side entry beats the heck out of end-crawlers. Marmot quality - 'nuff said.
"Great and lightweight" 05/30/11
This is tent is a champ. Super reliable, dry and light. The true test was a trip in the Grand Canyon. 6 Days of tough terrain and every weather patter imaginable. Gail force winds on day one, sleet and hail and rain on day 2, Hot as #*(( on day 3, 4, and windy and cold on day 5. In any condition this tent was great. Not a drop inside. Staked well and I didn't feel like I was going to blow away. Everyone else on the trip was super envious of my tent. It was always the first one set up and the first one down. Plenty of room for my boots, clothes, rain gear by my feet and my pack fit in the vestibule. Bottom line: This is the solo tent to have.
"I'd Live in my Hubba if my Boots Didn't Stink so Bad" 03/30/11
This tent is just too cool for words!!! Lots of room at your feet to keep your indoor supplies nearby - camera for taking sneak-attack pictures of your friends, wet socks, smelly boots, toilet paper. Plenty of headroom so you can sit up until you pass out from the stench of your boots. Side pockets for keeping your iPod/iPhone handy for those midnight attacks of "I have to play this video game with these birds and a bunch of pigs" and your glasses (so you can see to use the toilet paper that is safely stowed at your feet next to your smelly boots). Very light weight so you can carry some boot powder to cut down on the funk coming from your boots. Buy this tent!!!!
