"Great Stakes!!"  09/16/11

These stakes are much better than the ones included in regular tents. The strings attached to the stakes are high quality and are often the only thing that will let you get these stakes out of the ground. That's how good the hold is!

"Makes tear down alot easier"  06/10/11

Yeah there just tent stakes but they feel solid and haven't failed the 2x since I've swapped them out. The pull outs make it so much easier to tear down. Not that anyone tears down with the vigor they set up with. The triangular design is solid, I have a strong feeling these will replace every stake I have or needs one they are that solid.

"Big Upgrade"  06/02/11

After a weekend camping trip and trying to put the stakes that came with my tent into rocky soil and bending them beyond further use I was looking for a new more durable set. well i found them when stoping in the store one day. They work great. They have yet to bend in the rocky soil and they hold much much better. the reflective cord is a plus and it makes for easy removal.

"BEST...STAKES...EVER"  01/11/11

Seriously.... these are SO strong, I swear you could try to beat it sideways with a roofing hammer and they'd stay true. I love that little tie on the top so you can pull them out of the ground with ease. Highly recommended for all your tent-holding-down needs.

"My tent has yet to fly away"  12/25/10

I use these for my MSR hubba hubba, my ENO rain fly, and for all of my other crap I need to stake down. Also, they're great for when you think a vampire might be near. They work as great stakes should the cold ones be near. But seriously, everything stays put to the ground and doesn't flick out of the ground like the cheaper plastic-y ones do sometimes.

"Great stakes for the money"  12/12/10

These stakes are much better than the ones included in regular tents, I've left my tent ungaurded for a day with high winds(40+) and it held up very well. The strings attached to the stakes are high quality and are often the only thing that will let you get these stakes out of the ground. That's how good the hold is! And if your still reading this, divvy up and get these stakes

"great stakes"  12/06/10

Like these stakes, you can get lighter, considered the shepard hook/nail style in titanium, but my experiance is these work in most any terrain, including rock and some sandy areas here in deserts of AZ, nails and traditional hook style do go in easier, but come out in the most inopertune times. Red finish makes it harder to lose, fairly solid just don't pound into granite with a 10 lb sledge and expect great things.

"Best tent stake ever."  12/04/10

I use these for my tarp and they're great. Pretty much impossible to break, they hold extremely well and are easy to spot.I have a couple other sets of stakes with a similar design to these and it's definitely the sturdiest stake design I have ever seen. I highly recommend these.

"Best I've used"  10/13/10

Original equipment stakes are better than they used to be. The ones that look like part of a fence tie are a thing of the past. The non penetrating poly stakes are usually left on the shelf at WalMart. There are still some aluminium, twisty, corkscrew-like replacement stakes that aren't worth a dime. You don't have to buy junk. MSR's ground hogs are great. I've used them in hard rocky Utah ground that bent others' stakes. They stand up to being driven with large rocks and mine are straight. The reflective stitchingon the pull cords are also a handy feature and might just help you keep your in camp face plants to a minimum. They're also backed up by MSR's famous warranty.

"Better than a large rock"  05/03/10

Unless one is being pimp slapped in high winds, these are the cat's pajamas of tent stakes. If one is in really high winds I recommend anchoring your tent down with some really heavy rocks and/or trees.

"Perfect Stakes!"  04/26/10

I lost one of my MSR needle stakes that came with my tent so I bought these for some extras. I am very happy I did. These are much better in my opinion. Super strong and hold like you wouldn't believe. They are also very light weight and the little nylon tie makes for easy removal. Never thought I would get pumped over a tent stake but these are awesome!

"These are the best tent stakes period."  01/08/10

These are hands down the best stakes I have ever used. You can smash them so hard with a rock and they never bend. The little tether is great for helping pull them out as well. Work in all kinds of dirt... soft, and hardpack, desert sand.... They are super good and totally worth the money.
