"Multipurpose bottles" 03/25/12
We use these bottles at work for fuel canisters. They hold up well under strenous conditions. They get thrown in backbacks with trail tools and lugged into the woods without leaking. The cap is also nice with the pour spouts on either side if you are trying to control your fluid emission.
"Works perfectly, just a bit pricey" 02/08/12
This bottle does exactly what it is supposed to: transports your fuel without leaking. The locking caps are a nice feature so the bottle doesn't open accidentally. These are needed to work with and MSR Whisperlite stove. My only issue with this is that they don't come with the stove, so you have to buy them separately (kind of pricey for a simple metal bottle in my view), but overall they are well designed, durable, and they (most importantly) don't leak.

MSR fuel bottles are built to keep fuel in and keep your gear from becoming Molotov cocktail rags. Seriously though, I wouldn't trust many other fuel containers as much as I trust my MSR bottles. These things are pretty durable and do what they are supposed to do every time.
"Not usable" 12/05/11
Product arrived with a hole almost 6mm wide x 1mm deep in the side. Considering this is a pressurized fuel vessel, I judged it as completely unsafe and therfore completely unusable. Had to return but had a very poor experience with Moosejaw's Returns / Customer service department.

Bought this to replace my large MSR fuel bottle, the bottle is bit more compact allowing me to pack more essentials in my 38L backpack.the bottle is of good quality and I expect it to perform for a long time, however the new child safe cap design sucks.subjectively the new cap is just a nuisance.objectively I don't really see it's use if you're not traveling with kids. however it does have a plus side - when opening the bottle the larger cap accommodates and blocks some of the gas pressure buildup, meaning you won't stink as much from sprayed full as in the old cap. the cap is larger in bulk but I estimate it weight about the same as the old cap.

This new fuel bottle comes better with the new lip cover.It’s a light aluminum, safety top sealing and I recommend to have 2 sizes one to work with the strove and a second (30oz) container for extra in long term camping

I'd say this is a pretty standard item and works really well. One thing I am enthusiastic about is the fact that the lid is of the childproof sort. This means that there is no way to mix it up with your water bottle if you're not paying attention!

It does not leak, as of writing this review. I got the mid sized one, which seems to be enough for days on the trail with your mom : ) I use it with a msr dragon fly. It is basically just a red water bottle, with a child proof top, you have to push down and turn to unscrew it. Basic but very good quality.
