The MSR Alpine Kitchen Set is a lightweight kitchen kit for cooking up stellar meals in the backcountry. The burrito-style case rolls up small for packing and keeps your fancy utensils from touching dirty ground while prepping for dinner. The utensils include a spoon, spatula and a strainer/grater, all made from BPA-free materials and with a folding handle. The salt and pepper shaker ensures properly spiced food (assume you use the right amount) and the two squeeze bottles carry soap or maybe some olive oil. The cutting board is flexible for packing yet strong enough for cutting up a summer sausage high in the mountains, wipe up with the PackTowl® for a clean camp.

Great kitchen set and very compact!I loved this kitchen set because of it's very compact size when rolled up (has a very secure hook/loop closure system that doesn't seem prone to breakage). It takes up very little room in the pack and rolls up to a very small cylindrical footprint. I took out some of the tools to make it even more compact.,,,,The only drawback is the cutting board. Once it has been rolled up tightly and packed, it retains the curve and it hard to flatten out. The more-expensive MSR kitchen set has a better cutting board that doesn't roll up. You could store it separately but it does lend some structure to your pouch when it is rolled up with the cutting board so there is a trade-off. For the money, though, you can make due.

Everything you need!Great variety of utensils, you could add extra to the case or only take certain items to save weight. Everything is lightweight but the package is somewhat stiff and bulky due to the cutting board that's the reason I only gave 4stars. I chose this over the more expensive and heavy set that includes the knife because I always have a knife on me anyways.

all you need for a nice mealvery handy, only down side is the cut board, since you roll it up, it takes some time to make it flat. very compact.
