The MSR Alpine Fry Pan is a frying pan for backcountry cooking goodness. The stainless steel pan has a secret that goes beyond durability. The sneaky aluminum bottom disc spreads heat out evenly over the pan, so you can fry up the tasty trout you caught from the river. Cook up some scrambled eggs in the morning and after cleaning, the handle can be folded or removed for packing.

A real frying pan for your pack.Have had mine over 10 years, used it lots and it looks nearly new. It's small and not super light but rugged. The handle locks up solid and the encased aluminum slab = even heat, no scorching even on a pocket woodstove or an old MSR liquid fuel stove. If you actually cook pancakes, eggs, trout, or stir fry there is nothing better. No coating to flake off - just use a bit of oil. Purchasing a second one so both sea kayaks are fully outfitted.
