The Lowa Men's Oslo GTX Boot is a leather winter boot for hiking the backcountry and even making it to work. The Oslo GTX® has been insulated with the waterproof GORE-TEX® Partelana® fleece lining, that will not just keep you warm, but dry from slushy city streets and hiking through wet snow. The smooth Nubuck leather upper with fleece collar looks good out on the town while remaining durable for adventuring. The midsole is PU with MONOWRAP® construction that provides a sturdy landing pad for the bottoms of your feet that also stays close for a dialed in fit. The outsole is Ultra-grip AL-S II to provide traction on snow and ice so you don't end up on a "best falls of 2014/2015" compilation. You can be the one filming instead!

Great Winter Hiking BootI bought these boots for walking to class in the winter and to do some fall backpacking trips with. They are extremely warm and keep my feet dry. I did about a 3 mile hike in the snow with them and my feet felt extremely comfortable. However, these boots are not as versatile as I had hoped. The insulation is great in the winter but it makes them a little too warm to wear for summer hiking trips. If you don't mind sweaty feet you could wear them all year but I prefer to just use them in the winter.

PerfectI live in Chicago and walk round trip 3.4 miles each weekday to catch the train and needed a boot that's insulated, waterproof and could also function as a hiking boot. These boots are perfect! They have a small profile and are light and incredibly comfortable to walk in. It's not winter yet but I can tell these boots will be sufficiently warm. Bonus that they are stylish enough to wear out in the city and even at work....I'm an engineer not on Wallstreet :). The boots construction and stiching are flawless. These take a bit of time to lace up so If your looking for an insulated boot to throw on to shovel snow or walk a block these might not be for u, but for my needs I couldn't be happier. Buts are true to size and fit perfect.....may want to go a half size up if u run between sizes if u plan on wearing heavy socks

Best boots everI bought these boots, as a request, as a Christmas gift for my son.
He has used many different brands of hiking and winter hiking boots as an avid hiker and backpacker. He is absolutely thrilled with these boots, light weight, flexible, supportive and very comfortable.
He is completely satisfied with them. And would buy again.

Great boot, great looking and excellent qualityThese are my favorite winter boot. They look great and are very comfortable. I bought a second pair.
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, LOWA does not temperature rate their boots. The Oslo GTX Boots are manufactured with a Gore-Tex waterproof Partelena fleece lining - which provides warmth, but is not necessarily insulated. These boots are great for use in town, as well as on trails. For heavy use or extended exposure outdoors in cold weather, like hunting or backpacking, you may want to take a look at their Primaloft insulated boots. The Tibet Superwarm GTX and Bighorn G3 GTX are great for snow and ice conditions - while the Hunter GTX Evo Extreme is great for cold conditions on dirt and rock. I included links below. Hope this helps!
