If the product name has the word "pair" in it, that means it comes with TWO trekking poles. If the product name says "single" or has options to select a size, it means that particular style only comes with ONE trekking pole. Sorry to be so confusing. Please don't hate me.

worked in Sedona! My first pair of trekking poles. Used them on the Cibola/Brin's Mesa Trails in Sedona. Quite sturdy and helpful to my knees. While the elevation may have worn me out quicker than I thought (from the flat midwest), these poles were truly helpful in the descent and walking through some areas heavily laden with boulders. My knees would have been torn to shreds without these poles. Easy grip, no slippage, and very lightweight. Packed easily in my suitcase. All around great item. Glad to have found them!

Very nice trekking poles.Great poles for the price range with the features they have. Leki are leaders in climbing and hiking equipment and these do not disappoint. The only thing I would say is a flaw of these Makalu poles is that they don't have quick adjusting clamps. They still don't take that long to adjust but there is a difference between a twist lock feature and a quick release lever. They work well, are very high "leki" quality, are very light and will last a lifetime.

RuggedI love my Leki Makalu Antishock Trekking Poles aka " snakes getting sticks." They are telescoping for easy transport. Sturdy and functional.
How does your anti shock system work? I could not see how it is built into the walking stick.

Hiya, thanks for your question! The anti shock function is usually a spring mechanism built into the pole. Some telescoping poles have a latching lock have anti-shock built into the handle, which adds weight.
Leki brand poles have the anti-shock mechanism built into the lower section of the pole, like the tip. It is lighter but a bit more delicate. Hope this helps!

I carefully read the description of the Leki Makalu walking stick(s) but sorry it's not clear if it a pair or a single for the sale price of $74.96. The picture shows one sticks but the title says "poles". Is it one or a pair. Thanks, Chuck

This is a pair of poles, not a single. I hope this helps.
