Great Poles!I'm a avid trekking pole user and have owned a few pairs over the years. There has been much debate over the merits of trekking poles, and it probably comes down to personal preference more than anything, but I bring them on every trip that has any elevation change.,,,,For me trekking poles add a little UMPH to get me up steep climbs and a little cushion on the way down. I also own several shelters that integrate them as "tent" poles. Some people prefer fixed length poles, but adjustable poles are more versatile (though heavier.),,,,These poles are some of my favorites for a couple of reasons:,,,,-Simple, secure flip lock design,,-Cork grips (great for sweaty hands!),,-Sturdy design,,-Optional camera mount accessory,,,,That said, there are a few things that are lacking,,,,-While I prefer cork grips, my black diamond foam grips are more comfy,,-Not as light as some poles,,,,The only reason that I didn't give these pole a 5 is that I haven't used them enough to get that hallowed rating!

Wonderful!I love hiking with poles. They basically give you 2 more limbs. They make the hike up easier and the hike down more secure. I will never hike without these! I like the cork handle. Comfortable grip.
