Light and easy to adjust. When I first got into hiking, I made the mistake of buying non-adjustable trekking poles (Black Diamond Ultra Distance). Since then I've realized the benefits of an adjustable pole, which led me buying these Leki poles. I compared these to REI and Black Diamond adjustable poles and these just felt the best in my hands. One thing I was concerned with was the weight difference but these are really light for being aluminum and I almost can't tell the difference. I prefer lever lock adjustments to a twist lock because I have a bit of carpel tunnel. So far they're holding up well and I feel safe putting all my weight on them, something I felt iffy about with the BD Ultra Distance poles. I can't wait to try out the snowflake baskets.

Great trekking poles all around!I recently purchased these poles as I started to get into hiking with some fiends. I was very concerned about finding a pole that would be sturdy and overall high quality because I am quite a big guy and didn't want the possibility of a failure in the materials when a large amount of weight or pressure would be applied to the poles. These poles were a great choice, the double speed locks hold the poles at the proper height without a problem. The strap adjustment system is quick and easy and holds the straps in place without budging. I was really interested in getting cork grips, and was surprised to find that the Cor-Tec grips are more of a cork polymer than cork, but they are are comfortable and i am super pleased with how they feel in my palm. I have only used them a handful of times but am very pleased. No complaints from me at all. If its possible I will edit this review if my opinion changes over time.

Compact and Lightweight, doesn't seem that stableGot this pair just the other day and is very light weight but not as stable as I would have expected (a small amount of give at the joints). On the plus side this will add some spring into the step if you happen to hit something hard.
