The Skeletool by Leatherman is as spooky as a skeleton. The Leatherman tool features a lightweight design so you can easily play catch with it in the park. Please don’t do that, you’ll poke your eye out. The durable stainless steel body on the Leatherman Skeletool means it will probably last longer than your last girlfriend and probably be more helpful too. This Leatherman tool packs a party everywhere it goes. The Leatherman Skeletool includes pliers, wire cutters, a knife blade, a screwdriver and a carabiner/bottle opener. This will be convenient when you want to open a bottle of Coke while rock-climbing. Good thinking Leatherman.

Great of EDC, not for the tough stuff. This Leatherman had all the stuff I seemed to use the most, in a light, streamlined package. The form makes it great for the pocket, not as great in the hand.,,Love the interchangeable bit driver, haven't lost the spare yet. The knife is uber sharp, and the serrated portion is great for cutting cord and light saw work. The wrench isn't viable for real torque-demanding duty, but not a big deal for every-day-carry.,,,,I would also recommend this one over the CX version. It weighs the same, has the same function, has only slight less high quality steel in the blade. The CX only really offers a little bit carbon-fiber, and a black finish that will wear off.

Sleek n lightweight bare minimum multitoolI started out with a Charge Xti, it has everything n then some. But it is rather heavy n you won't always need everything that is has. So the skeletool seemed like a logical choice. It has the very essential tools for everyday, the most important, a knife n pliers (bottle opener too). It is a lot lighter than the Xti n very easy to use. The extra bits fit nicely into the sides n don't get in the way when in use. opening and closing of the pliers n knife is a lil rough at first but smooth out pretty fast. It severs it's purpose as a basic multitool well. It's small, light weight easy to use, and when you don't need everything of a full size multitool it's a good choice.

Best Knife I have seenThis knife is pretty basic with just a well designed blade, pliers, bottle opener and screwdrivers but it has everything most people need. I use this knife everyday for all sorts of tasks and as it is so small and lightweight and I can always bring it with me. I have a bigger multi-tool which I don't use very often because I end up bringing this instead. The bottom line is that while this doesn't have a lot the stuff it has is what you need it and it all works really well. The knife is incredibly sharp, the screwdriver works well and the pliers are excellent. Great everyday knife.

A knife + a multitoolThe skeletool is basically a knife + a multitool. The knife is so awesome that I feel like I should mention it separately. I used to have a smaller leatherman and mostly used the knife and the screwdriver. The skeletool has both these tools in a much nicer package. The pliers and the wire cutters are really nice too. ,,,,I picked up the skeletool CX and was really impressed how much lighter it was than this version. I still went with the normal version of the skeletool to save a few bucks.,,,,You will love this.

Good features, OK quality, Poor priceI have had the Leatherman Skeletool for nearly 3 years, and have never been very impressed with it. Sure, it is very lightweight for a multi-tool but that means very little if it doesn't perform. Also, durability has been an issue. The tip of the knife broke off, the pocket clip bent outwards and the wire cutters have an indent that formed so they get stuck shut. There are much better options out there for the money. Not reccomended.

Just as good as the CX, only a bit heavier.I purchased this for my father at the same time I bought the CX version for myself. They are both "nearly" identical aside from the CX having carbon fiber appointments making it a tad bit lighter. The other difference is the blade. I just noticed the CX has the straight blade, and this version has the straight/serrated combo blade. When I purchased the two tools, the CX had the combo blade. Both are excellent tools.

The only leatherman that will actually get carried and used.I have owned this bad boy for about 4 years. Well I dropped my first one in a marsh on the TX coast while doing fieldwork, but whatever! I bought another! I actually carry this thing, it is comfortable in your pocket and has tools that you'll actually use. (I have never had to file my nails or saw a tree with a multi-tool). The blade isn't the greatest at holding an edge, but it's still my favorite leatherman.

Will never buy anything else unless they make one that includes a flashlight.I have had mine for about 3.5 years (had it with me almost every single day) now and it's still going strong. As everyone else has said, it has just the stuff you need and none of the fluff. Very sturdy construction and still mechanically solid after all this time (and I am constantly fidgeting with it even when I'm not actually using it). Blade still locks open and closed solidly (although it has a few nicks in it now; I'm fairly abusive with it). Pliers still snap open when unfolding and lock into place when folding up. Not any bigger than the other pocket knives I own but obviously a little heavier. The knife blade is definitely less sturdy than a stand alone knife, but not horrible and it's well worth the trade off having everything else. Probably one of my favorite things is being the guy that everybody depends on to open their bottles at a party. Love this thing.
