Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice lightweight multitool for EDC This leatherman is a good multitool overall. Some things of note from my experiences: knife is very nice for the price point, came well sharpened. Pliers seem a little flimsy, but are sufficient for light use. Screwdriver is a screwdriver. This tool is shockingly light, coming from a Swisstool Spirit, even though they have similar dimensions. ,,,,Pros: nice blade, very sharp. -Good action. -Pocket clip is handy. -Very light comparatively to other multitools.,,Cons: Carbon fiber is pretty minimal. Pliers are a little flimsy.,,,,Bottom line: a good EDC, and potential replacement for carrying just a knife, albeit still much heavier than most.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and thin with just the basics. Nice tool to have on your belt. I wear the sheath in the horizontal position(I know that sounds bad, but stay with me!), and with the slim low profile design it doesn't get hung up or caught on things. The Blade is nice and sharp with a smooth and easy action. When open it fit nicely into the hand. I'm a little worried about losing the interchangeable screw bits, but they seem to be staying place so far. I like the fact that besides the sheath it gives you two other options... a clip(not easy to see in the pictures) to clip on to your pocket and a built in carabiner(easier to see in the pictures). Probably my favorite option is that the carabiner is also a beer bottle opener!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpacking knife for any occasion. Have had this knife for two years now. The weight is great for the amount of features. The knife blade is always sharp (have only sharpened it once) and is a great size balance between "uselessly small" and "too big to be practical". The pliers and screwdriver additions are awesome for repairs and modifications when your in the middle of your trip. ,,,,The only downside that i have found is that dirt and crud does tend to accumulate easily in the knife because of the skeletal design. As a result cleaning is a little more frequent and complicated then a regular folding pocket knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3+ years of flawless use I've had this knife since Aug '08. I've had it with me just about everyday since then. Only flaw: the holes accumulate grime, lint, etc. I go through them with a Q-tip every once in awhile, but it doesn't really affect the function of the tool.,,,,I was initially concerned about the screwdriver bits staying in place. 3 years later, they're still there.,,,,I would go for the CX version because I like the 154CM blade material, but it might not be worth the extra $30-40 dollars. I've seen it online and in stores for about $85. Good thing Moosejaw has a price match policy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I carry this thing with me everywhere, except airports and courthouses. This tool has saved me trouble time and time again. You get two flathead and two phillips head bits that store on the skeletool- if you add the optional bit kit, you get another 40 options. The knife blade is very strong and hasn't had to be sharpened in the year and a half I've owned it. Its light enough to take the place of a pocketknife while backpacking, but not so large that it feels bulky in your pocket. I have friends that have said "if you ever go to look for that thing and can't find it, its because I stole it from you." Lucky for me I never put it down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works! Amazing This is a great tool for the minimalist that wants the basic necessities and wants them to work...everytime. It wont fry eggs, pop corn, or help you find your way out of a canyon. What is does is cut rope, wood, etc. quickly and cleanly. You have a few bits for repairs and a can opener and carabiner. I carry one in the shoulder pocket of my day pack and have never found I need more. Simple put It does what it says it will do. Maybe more but surely not less. You can get cheaper knock offs but you cant buy better. Rather unique in this day and age. It Works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent addition to the lightweight hiking kit. A no-nonsense what you need tool. This is the 4th addition to my Leatherman family. Picked it due to its superior materials combined with a no-nonsense approach to a multi-tool. This one goes with me on kayak and light weight backpacking trips. Perfect combination of weight, size, and utility. Not the type of tool you are going to be using on the construction site so skip it and look for the larger line Leatherman offers if that's your thing. If your wanting something to do most repairs while out on the trail this is the one for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything you ACTUALLY need in something you can ACTUALLY carry. We all think that we need the 147 different tools that most of the Leatherman/Gerber/Victorinox/SOG knives have but the truth is that we really don't.,,,,We all think that we're going to carry a multitool everywhere we go but that truth is that they're so heavy, we really don't.,,,,The CX is the exception. It's got everything you need in a package you can actually carry.,,I keep a Leatherman Bit Kit in my bag if I need to fix the submarine, since they use weird screws. ,,
