A good, solid, all-around boot.My trusty pair of Wellingtons have served double duty as my work boots and winter boots for more than four years. They have held up to four Maine winters and four plus years of being worn on concrete 40+ hours each week by a notorious abuser of footwear. Not once have they been oiled or waterproofed but the OEM insoles were hot-rodded out with some Dr. What's-his-name aftermarket joints after two years. Although they are frequently exposed to snow and water, they have never soaked through. No noticeable odor has built up inside them despite long hours wrapped around the sweaty feet of someone who slots in between Sasquatch and an outside linebacker on the size chart.,,,,The negatives are few but worth pointing out. The boots are lined but not insulated, so I would not recommend them to sufferers of cold-foot-itis. They are also not terribly flexible so activities that involve repeated kneeling or crouching may break them down differently from what I experienced.
