| just bought my fourth pair, they cannot be bad.But I have to admit that I have troubles finding shoes due to my size (USD 2/ EUR 33), they don't make so many in my size...Also, I have to admit they lately I was a bit disappointed cos they wore out in less than 3 months (climbing ~3/4 times a week indoor and I think 3 times outdoor altogether). I kind of feel they changed something in the shoes lately, and I have heard others saying the same. Also, the wear bigger. Buy at least one size smaller than what you actually wear for normal shoes.Overall, I wouldn't advice them for bouldering or climbing on small stuff for feet. Great instead for indoor climbing! And they wear really comfortable too! | |

"Excellent shoe for beginner to advanced climbers!!" |
09/25/09 |
| This is my first rock climbing shoe. I've used it indoors and outdoors and absolutely LOVE IT! The arched shape and sticky rubber make it easy to get a good foot on holds indoors and smear in both settings. The velcro straps make the shoes easy to take on and off. Fit is great. I wear a size 6 in Womens and got a size 36. They were a little tight at first but after climbing with them for a few weeks, they have loosened up just slightly enough for a perfect fit! The color is also pleasing to the eye. All-around excellent shoe for beginner to advanced climbers!! BUT THEM! | |

"Great All-Around Climbing Shoe" |
09/24/09 |
| This product was shipped really fast! Thanks Moosejaw! I am a size 7.5 in street shoes, so I ordered the Katanas in 37.5. The shoes were really small, but it should stretch a little after some use. I liked the velcro-- it makes it quick and easy to slip on and off, esp during outdoor trips. The soles are great, and I haven't had any problems so far. I'm only a beginner rock-climber, and after reading tons of reviews for every shoe out there, I settled on these and I'm so glad I did! These are great all-around shoes to begin climbing with. | |

"Really, good, shoe!" |
07/16/09 |
| So I bought the katanas after having really sloppy shoes. And loved them. I wear a 8.5-9 street shoes and got a 37.5 which I think ended up being too small. however after they broke in (only about a half size larger, maybe less) they fit better. And helped me send harder problems. I dont suggest getting them more than a size and a half smaller just because they do not stretch as much as i would have liked. otherwise, killer shoe. great edging and moderatly agressive without being over the top. | |

"don't leave home without them" |
06/08/09 |
| Great all around shoe. Doesn't slip (I have somewhat narrow feet and Sportivas generally fit me well), and are adept at keeping you on small features or on overhanging routes. I don't use these as much for ledgey areas however. | |

"Light and grippy - there are two models of this shoe" |
05/26/09 |
| I'm a guy. I bought these because the women's model has lower volume on the inside, so it's better for narrower feet. These are also much lighter than a lot of other shoes on the market. There are two versions of this shoe; the newer one employs Vibram XSV, which is slightly stickier and softer; the older model uses Vibram XS, which is relatively durable and harder. The latter is better for edging the former for smearing. You can tell which is which by reading the little Vibram logos embossed in the sole. You can also tell by the La Sportiva logos on the side: the newer models say "La Sportiva" the older ones use a boot symbol for the "L" in "La." Both models are easy to find. | |

"Great shoe - use it all the time!" |
05/26/09 |
| The Women's Katana is a great shoe, the low volume heel and narrower toe box (compared to the 'men's' version) makes this shoe fantastic! There was some small stretching but not much- at least for me anyway. I bought a second pair because I can't go without them while my other pair gets resoled:) | |

"Great Shoe, but runs large" |
05/19/09 |
| I've climbed in a friend's Katanas for a while, and I finally decided to cave and buy them. They smear great and the heel is awesome. I usually wear a 41 in climbing shoes, and my friend's shoes were missing the tags, but she said that seemed about right. Well, they were huge. So buy the shoes, but be sure to size down more than you think you need to. | |

"Amazing climbing shoes!!" |
04/26/09 |
| These climbing shoes have made my climbing experience awesome. I am more confident with climbing now, the shoes make all the difference. I normally wear a size 8-8 1/2 size street shoe but I have a size 7 1/2 in these climbing shoes and my toes are curled just right. And they are easy to get on and off. Quality shoe for the price. | |

"great shoe, even for a dude!" |
03/24/09 |
| I tried these bad boys on at my local gear shop without realizing they were chick shoes. After noticing on the box, i was secure enough with my man hood to carry on with the purchase...online. The good price online helped also. fit: fit my chubby/wide feet quite well. back of the shoe rubbed my achilles a little, nothing major. smearing: good smearing. slight downturn toe means you gotta pay attention to the smear. edging: great edging heal/toe hooks: great hooking no slippage off my heel. bottom line: this shoe fits and performs very well. | |

"I love these shoes." |
03/16/09 |
| These shoes are high performing and fit my feet like a glove. I'm on my second pair of Katanas and I love them. I was hesitant about the velcro at first, but it really makes taking them on/off easy. I wear a US W 8.5-9 in street shoes and wear 38 Katanas. | |
