"Great for hiking" 01/20/12

Thru-hiked the JMT in these guys in August with pair of Superfeet. Comfortable right from the box. They are fairly breathable, along the 260 miles we ended up hiking I don't remember my feet being overly warm at any point. Plenty of traction and confidence inspiring on 4th class. And at least with the superfeet in them, you can walk on talus all day and feel as good as with my giant Asolo boots. Definitely recommend them for hiking (haven't ran in them much),

"i have 2 pair" 11/29/10

great on the trail but now i wear them everywhere so i had to get an extra pair. love the grip and they are very breathable. the other review was correct about the tongue. if that bothers you, these may not be the right shoe.

"To me these appeared to be a gnarlier version of Wildcat" 11/11/10

I gave these 1/2 star only because I absolutely LOVE the other La Sportiva trail running shoes. To me these appeared to be a gnarlier version of Wildcat, a shoe I have put many miles on. But (at least the pair I have) the tongues in these shoes keeps slipping WAY down to the outside, to the point that they're not even in front of my foot. And even if i PULL the tongue way to the other side, then cinch them down tight, in 5 minutes they slip back to the other side. Even when I am not in them, they appear to do this.

"Awesome" 09/10/10

Definitely the best trail running shoe I've had the experience to use. I have used them for everything. Trail running, scrambling in the Cascades, backpacking, hiking, easy rock climbing... I've even been in water a whole bunch of times with them on (they dry super fast). This has convinced me that La Sportiva is the way to go, no, I don't work for them (its not a bad idea though...). Buy them, you won't regret it.
